The only way to make an actual change is to be consistent. Plus, you don't have to walk to lose weight. It has to do with calories in vs. calories out. So that means you are eating too much. If walking is too much of a burden right now then just focus on the food side. You will get results. Excuses will get you nowhere.

If you open a cabinet door, then get what you want, don't leave it open afterwards. Come on. I hate walking into a kitchen and 14 cabinet doors are open...LAZY! That and load the dishwasher. It isn't the hard. I promise you can do it.

I was discussing this with someone the other day, I am the exact same! I could go all day on the weekend and not eat and be fine (i don't do this though). On the other hand, at work, I bring breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. And i attribute that to being bored. That's the only thing I can think of !

I'm 5'3 and weigh 130. I eat 2000 to 2200. I'd be starving if I ate less. I don't know how people survive on 1200 calories and not eating back exercise calories. Good luck OP!!!

Go to an Al Anon meeting ASAP. You cannot change their behavior or their actions. You didn't cause it, can't control it, or cure it. When/if they want to get help they will. But you can't be intertwined with their recovery. Learn to set healthy boundaries and take care of yourself first.
