Happy Easter to everyone!!!! Allf1163......thanks for the words of encouragement! I have lost two (actually 3 because I didn't weight in right). Anyway, I'm feeling a "little" better about that. Your pep talk really helps. Hard for me to keep junk food out of the house as I have a child with Russell-Silver Syndrome (RSS)…

StringWendel and Duffyzmom: Thanks for your comments. It's always nice to know others feel the same as you and that you are not alone. I'm VERY impressed StringWendel in weighing in at 116.9......I haven't seen those numbers since High School, and realistically, I know I never will again. But, getting closer to that than…

Thanks for the welcome!!! I am still feeling a little frustrated, but am putting my anger about my weight into trying to make better food choices. Sort of like, "Okay, body, I'll show YOU who's boss!" So, I'm taking baby steps in making these changes. My downfall is my emotions. I tend to eat for different reasons:…

Okay, I'm totally new to this. I first joined and went to a general message board. Was all gun-ho and then I didn't get much feedback from people and sort of felt "left out". So, now I'm going to try again, but this time joining a group more my age! I'm 42, married, two kids (15 & 12) and stay-at-home mom. I'm feeling…

Does that give me a "cushion" to eat a little more or just stick to my meal plan and don't eat more than what I'm allowed (1400 calories without exercise). Does this make sense??? I guess what I'm saying…

Add 2% Mozzerella Cheese. and either a vegetable or even a Gallo's Light salame (taste good) and broil it until cheese is melted. You…

Thank you for your quick reply and advice. Yes, it is very hard to count calories for me in one direction and count for him in the opposite. But having this website is already helpful and finding it hard to get off of here!!! Thanks and best of luck to you! Stacie

I'm not sure if I could get ideas or just find acceptance.............. I will try to keep this brief: I have a son with Russell-Silver Syndrome, which is basically a height disorder. One of the characteristics of this syndrome is they are very, very thin and don't like to eat or eat a lot. Therefore, we have to make sure…

Thank you SOOOO much for what you wrote! You are already an inspiration to me. I can't wait to get started on Monday! I have an event to go to tomorrow which includes food and will still make wise choices, but won't start "officially" until Monday. I truly am excited to try this new way of dieting by having a tracker,…

With the New Year, I felt it was time to work on losing those extra pounds and feel great this Spring and Summer. Being 42 years old, a mom of two and a thyroid problem, losing weight is NOT easy. However, I thought with a support group like this and a "tracking system", it will make it a little easier and more fun.…
