Thanks for the reinforcement guys! And don't worry about me, I LOVE my muscles! The goal is to look like some of the other lady crossfiters at my gym. They're totally ripped! I just know I need to lose a little weight for those muscles to show more :)

Agave syrup! It's a natural sweetener so it's better for you that processed white sugar.

I figured that's what it was. I just didn't know if there was something else contributing that I didn't know about. I know I should just use measurements, but it takes so long for the tape to move and I want something I can see from week to week. I measure about once a month.

Lose - Glad I could get you thinking! As a coach, I love to hear that!

MEDERMA (which is specially for scars) and PALMERS COCOA BUTTER. You'll smell like chocolate (don't try to lick yourself like I did) and eventually the scars will fade. Be patient! Your skin takes a LOT of time to catch up. But a nice tan will instantly make you feel better :) And yes you can have abs. You're young and…

If you're looking for the Olympic season, training for short course (yards) generally begins third or fourth week of August and goes through nationals which are usually mid-March. The "summer" season generally begins the first week of April (or two to three weeks after nationals) and continues through nationals (or olympic…

Ok, this is coming from a several time DI all-american and a DII head coach (me): The S pull is completely outdated. The reasoning to teach it that way was that as your hand travels in a certain direction, the water starts moving with your hand so you change the direction of your pull to get to "clean" water. FIRST, the…

AAAAA-Freaking-Men. Everything in moderation! HAVE tasty treats! I get to each something naughty every day as long as it's a small portion. (2 double stuf oreos/milk or a mini ice cream sammich usually) I find that actually keeps me from binging and I don't crave sweets as much as I used to.

Ok obviously I don't know how to post pictures. oops!

Oh, I forgot oatmeal made with milk, cinnamon, peanut butter, and a few chocolate chips and pecans. I call it my chocolate chip cookie oatmeal. Freaking delish and still less than 400 calories.

I tend to be streak-y in my eating habits, but my normal rotation includes: feta eggs (3 eggs with a quarter cup of feta and a dash of milk) and coffee egg sammich (2 eggs, dash of milk, slice canadian bacon and laughing cow cheese spread on a whole wheat english muffin) and coffee chocolate protein made with nonfat milk…

6 lbs in 30 days?? LUCKKYYY! I actually gained weight the first month because I was lifting a whole bunch and my muscles were holding more fluid to recover than normal. But then it started falling off nicely. Also I have pretty bad PMDD so the scale goes CRAZY the week before, the week during and a few days after. It's all…

Bittersweet chocolate chips. A solid handful a day and my cravings aren't so bad.

Lots and LOTS of layers that wick sweat and block the wind. I usually do: Upper body: sports bra, drifit shirt, drifit long sleeve, light fleece pullover and a windbreaker with hood. And then mittens (I have the kind that you can pull back to expose your fingers), ear warmers/hat and if it's REALLY cold, a collar you can…

I swam in college and my asthma was worst when the pool chemicals were out of wack. But for me, swimming was always easy. Running comes hard to me because it's not "natural" for me. When I started, I always made sure I'm inhaling and exhaling equally (exhaling is the hard part in the water), and keeping my chest relaxed.…

Love those collar bones!

Oh! And try the "RUN! ZOMBIES!" app So stinkin fun!!!

What this guy said! I hated my life the first couple times I started running because I was slow and red in the face and gasping...basically dying. 12 weeks later, I'm about to run 6 miles on Wednesday! AND I LOVE running past people, because even though I still look like I'm dying and I'm still not fast, I see the…

Don't give up!! The same thing happened to me every time I got back on the bandwagon. Drove me NUTS when I started P90X Lean. I gained weight and didn't get back to my starting point until the second phase. y trainer told me that my muscles were holding a lot of water since I was lifting (but it happens to me when I do…

Try starting off a little slower and build your speed. If you still get one, take a couple of deep breaths and breathe into the spot that's cramping and try to relax your shoulders. Helps me a LOT.

Sweet potato fries with salt and pepper, tyson breast meat chicken chunks (sooo tasty), a lil ketcup and carrots. Only 350 calories and I'm full! Yay protien!

After I've woken up and done my business but before I eat or drink anything. It's the lightest I'll be all day! And then only when I'm feeling skinny :) I set myself up to succeed. lol

Congratulations!! Pictures really show the difference. You look great!

As somone that LOVES vegetables and fruits, I don't think I could ever be a vegetarian! I always go back for seconds and thirds on those, but I also like the taste of meat. I just crave meat sometimes. It's delicious. But after about 3 ounces, I'm usually done with it. It could be the best 6 oz filet mignon and about half…

Holy cow! That's awesome! Celebrate!

It's a cultural thing. I'm upset if someone doesn't call me ma'am. It's a mark of respect. My swimmers are awesome. Everything is "yes ma'am!" Love it!

Cliff bars, something sweet (usually orange slices or jelly beans) for a quick energy boost, trail mix and some gel packs. Long hikes: add dehydrated meals, coffee (I have a portable press/mug), a water bottle of condensed milk (in place of creamer/sugar), hot cocoa mix, peanut butter, oatmeal and jerky.

Depends on how big you consider my frame. I figure I'm somewhere between medium and large so that puts me between 150 and 158. I'm 156 now so doing good! Especially since 150 is my goal!
-
I'm 5'10". I was 170 at my heaviest, 156 now and headed down to 150. I was at 143, 13% body fat and a size 4 (I looked emaciated)when I was a full time athlete. I know I'll probably never get into a size 4 again, but I'll be VERY happy with a size 6 and 16 or 17% body fat.
