Thanks Alf, April & Singfree for the advice. :flowerforyou: I have a hard time sometimes with my 'all or nothing' attititude and so I think somewhere inside I feel I should be exercising hard every day. I know in my head this doesn't make sense & I'd be the first one to tell someone else this but I seem to have these CRAZY…

wow wee swiss miss, 4 lbs in 2 weeks when you have so little to lose is amazing!!! WTG since many of you seem to exercise a lot, I have a question... I seem to be able to handle 4 days of exercise in a row and that's it...today would've been day 5 but all I could manage was to do my toning exercises and I couldn't do my…

I find when I drink alcohol I want to eat and I'm not talking fruit and veg  chocolate, chips, nachos, burgers, fries, pizza...I think you get the idea. I decided when I joined MFP to give up alcohol until I got closer to my goal weight. Today is day 105 for me without drinking alcohol. My weight loss has been slow…

Happy Friday everyone!!!! I did strength training & cardio today even though I didn't feel like it. :grumble: I know it will help get me the results I want so I'm doing my best not to slack off. I'm hoping to meet my mini-goal I set for the end of April and there's only 2 more weigh-ins until then. Yikes!!! :noway:

Hi everyone! I've been away for a couple of days...so much reading on this thread to catch up on. I did pretty good while away...skipped the alcohol & dessert and made the best food choices possible...I didn't get any exercise in but was happy when I weighed myself and lost a pound this week. I know I…

Hi all, I went away for 2 nights and just got back. It was the first time I saw my brother-in-law and his fiancee since I started my healthy lifestyle. My brother in laws fiancee commented on how great I was looking. Even though I know I'm doing this for myself, it's so nice to get a pat on the back every once in awhile.…

I don't go to a gym either mainly because I like exercise classes and my local gym doesn't have any. www.exercisetv.tv as someone mentioned earlier is great. You can do different workouts depending on your preferences.

great post Dave!!! I've wanted quick fixes in the past when it comes to losing weight...I know now that it will take hard work and in my case sacrifices to get me there. But I'm finally at a point in my life where I'm doing this no matter how long it takes me. I also know that for me my weight is something I'll have to…

It's so nice seeing the changes that come with losing weight & getting healthy. Well done lynn!!! Realta I think that's a great idea for the challenge this week. Easter can be a very difficult time. You go in the grocery store and there are displays of chocolate everywhere....:grumble: I usually buy myself…
