  • Congratulations on losing 39 pounds in only 6 weeks.
  • I would rather have food.
  • My stomach and my chin are my problem areas. My chin is a lot better now, but I still don't like it.
  • What is #fatgirlproblem? I am trying to look it up now, but I do not think I have heard that before. Is it like #firstworldproblems?
  • You click on their picture or name, then click the green button that says add as friend.
  • My main goal is to build strength for safety reasons, cardio is going to become next and then eating less because of a strict budget.
  • Recently I have been logging my weight about once a week. I only log again if there is a big jump in my weight. If my scale had a jump of 2 pounds the next day and everything I did was the same I would grab one of the weights in the house and weigh the weight several times to see if the amount on the scale changes. This…
  • I would visit my friend. I would not like to feel like I am being judged, but I would rather visit my friend and have that feeling than not see my friend.
  • Good luck with your recovery and on your training. I hope you do well in your ironman competition.
  • I had a Don Miguel breakfast burrito because I was hungry, it has 22g of protein and 3g of fiber in 440 calories, and after driving 4 hours in the fog to get home I was not going to cook anything. That convenient store and the microwave are not my friends.
  • If you want to know your weight you would need to step on a scale, but not everyone uses scales. You could take measurements. This website also tracks inches. Relying on photos is another option. Having update photos of your progress can be nice.
  • My week is good. Not weight wise. I have been at my friends place since last Saturday. One of my friends I have not seen in about a year, the other 2 years so this has been a good week for me. They do not have a scale and I did not bring mine with me so I have no clue what my weight has done. I know I have lost a notch on…
  • I would not have gotten a trainer. But the OP did. If I did choose to pay for a trainer I would follow the program they have given me. Because I am not going to pay someone to help me reach a goal and then ignore some of the things they tell me to do. That would be setting myself up to fail and a waste of money. I would…
  • The app should not be advising that low. In the past it would not. What did you set your activity level too? If you disagree with the site you can look up different recommendations for what you are eating online, or actually go see someone for advice in person. The site lets you set your goals yourself. If you find a…

  • Was that from MFP's food database? If it was, there is a chance it is wrong. That number may be more of an estimate. If the stew was out of pre-portioned bag then it should be somewhat accurate. If it was a hand made stew you may be off on the calories because everyone makes things a little differently. A food scale may…
  • I am not going to be much help in this department, all I can really give is a guess. I would say maybe a body shaper would work. I do not know if it has the same name in the UK, but it is an item some people wear to hold their extra weight in to make them look thinner or to give them more of a curve depending on their…
  • Hello, my name is Jessica, good luck with your weight loss. There are many groups on here. If you are looking for people in a similar situation as you a group for mothers may work out great. I can give you support too if you want to send me a friend request.
  • Yes, the OP said the person was their trainer. To me that means the OP has chosen to pay this person per hour for the trainer to help them lose weight. Which means the OP should stick to what the trainer says, because they have chosen to pay a bunch of money for the trainer to give them advice and help them work out every…
  • Safe wise 2 pounds, but you said your trainer said to average 5 pounds. If the person is actually your trainer then you should do what they say. If you are going to pay a trainer you should follow their program. That or tell your trainer what your doctor said and tell them to adjust their plans for you to fit the weight…
  • I go through fazes of wanting to step on the scale all the time. I only record one day for the week, but I step on the scale when I want to. Seeing the weight jump back and forth on different days can be a little discouraging, oh well. A lot of people have noticed that their weight goes up the day after exercising. Some…
  • Yes, you are supposed to be hitting whatever your calorie goal is until you weigh in again and then you should be hitting whatever the new calorie goal is. Eating half of your calories would help you reach your goal weight faster if you are trying to lose weight, but it is bad for you if you do it for a long time.
  • When I was in college I used to drink one for breakfast if I overslept, but I would eat when I got out of class an hour later. Now I am considering buying a protein shake to replace soda/frappes because it has less calories.
  • This sounds a lot like how I view minimalism.
  • I stopped watching cooking shows for a long time when I realized I would eat a lot of food while I was watching them. I realized that even if I had eaten before I started watching cooking shows or food shows I would still get hungry while watching them. It is like when I would go to the movie and smell popcorn while…
  • Depends on your routine, but at a max around 16lbs. Because of your weight I think you would be able to lose a bit above that max depending on how you went about it. MFP should let you set a max of a loss of 2lbs per week.
  • Whenever I feel like pulling out that scale. Only once a week is the day I count. For weekly schedule reasons.
  • Lifting, I tend to start fussing at my period while I lift and it goes much better. I have been told walking or jogging helps by friends, but it does not help me.
  • As a normal person with no professional ability to help in this area. I would say pick a goal for yourself calorie/nutrition wise. Then pick how much closer you want to be to the end goal every month. I think you would have a better chance of reaching whatever your end goal is if you break your meals up into several small…
  • I like both, but I like to save money. Around here the gyms are around $70 if you want everything. I do not see it being worth it for those gyms. I think gyms are good for many reasons. For me though, I see them as a social place like a dive bar, which I also like. You can go there with friends and work out together, take…
