I agree, if you gained 30lbs between October and November, that must have been a non-stop two-month party! I'd say, don't do what you did in October and November.

You took the words right outta my mouth! It is not their JOB to support you. Why do you think these people who are our co-workers, not family, not friends owe you anything? You are probably making them feel as if you're looking down your nose at them and judging what they are eating. Just say "no thanks" and move on. I am…

Amazing Congrats! Was that Brian McKnight in the photo with you?

Bump for later. I have the same injury, I think, from doing chest presses. Someone told me to try not using a wide grip on the bar. Would like some feedback to this question as well.

Who cares what you think about the president?

Hi there, I have a family history of diabetics. My father passed away about seven years ago due to complications of being diabetic most all his life. I have aunts, uncles and cousin younger than myself who are diabetic and on insulin. My niece is 20 yrs old, obese and insulin dependent already. I am trying to stay far away…

Great job, lady. You look great!

Someone posted a topic on the forum the other day about this. Don't remember what day or the title, but do a search for body wraps. It seem to have gotten a lot of feedback.

I don't want to come of sounding mean in response to your question, but the fact that you even posed the question shows that you maybe just a tad bit concerned about what other people (strangers to you) eat. The thought never crossed my mind about why someone's diary might be closed. Food and weight loss is a very private…

I joined this site to use as a fitness tool, nothing more. Therefore my personal infotmation is nobody's business but my own.

I feel your pain, but Jamie is correct, you have to give it some time. I have the MIrina and when I first got mine about 5 months ago. I gained 7 lbs in a month, I started getting acne like crazy! and my period was all over the place. It is now starting to even out and my acne is cleaing up. I still want it out because I…

It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. For instance, whether I run or power walk I burn a little over 100 calories per mile. I participate in 5ks, half-marathons and other races, so being fit and getting there quickly is more important than the actual calorie burn. Fat burn is important if you are just…

I think this must be a joke.

I've been on MFP for over a year now and I used to weight and measure EVERYTHING. Now I can determine how much a chicken breast weighs without putting it on the scale. I can put a cup of veggies on the plate w/o pulling out a single measuring cup. So, I pretty much know if i'm eating within my calorie limits. So most days…

Congrats on your weight loss success. My son is 9yrs old and very tall and thin. A little boy from the neighborhood befriended him a while back. He is very over weight and 1yr younger than my son. The little boy told my son when they first meet how his classmates tease him and calls him fat and he has no friends. I told my…

Have you ever considered that perhaps they are self consious about their appearence or their weight, and is waiting until they reach their goals before posting a picture of themselves?

Try giving it up for a little while. You will find that you want it less and less.

My family eat what I eat. I will sometimes include a side dish they like, but leave it off my plate and just double up on the veggies. And to answer your question...Turkey chilli is a hit with everyone. You can make a hugh batch , freeze it, heat and serve when ready.

To echo what everyone else is saying, take one day at a time. I would only suggest one thing...perhaps you should set your goal in smaller increments. Setting a goal to go from 229 to 130 may seem like bit much to take on. Set your goal in increments of 20lbs. That way 20lbs sounds a lot more attainable. Once you loose…

Congrats! You look awesome!

Turning 45 tomorrow! I mean today (after midnight here). Started running at age 42. Have since run six 5ks and one half-marathon. Running a 15k this Sunday. I love it, and am hooked! I reciently joined a running group....it's so much fun running with others, they push you to go longer and run better. We run 4 days a week!…

Was just thinking about some good soup recipes! Bumping for later.

You could possibly log it as General Circuit Training. However, you should probably consider investing in a HRM.

Just to chime in on what everyone else is saying, protein powder is the way to go. However, I do occassionally splurg and purchase a box of Deutor bars from Costco. There are $20 per box for a variety box of 24. They are around 170 calories and 15g of protein per bar. I use these as a convenience to take along with me…

No. Never. Everyday activity should be included in your daily activity level. I actually enjoy "working out." Anything extra is considered a bonus.
