No more "ugly, fat *****"

When I was in high school, during my Fresh. and Soph. year I was 205 and was always referred to as the "ugly fat *****". I used to get bullied every day and used to have to avoid certain ways in the hall because I was the "fat *****". Everyone used to bully me no matter how nice I was. Nobody wanted to be friends with me, because I was fat, ugly, and people were afraid of how they were going to look if they were my friend. The loneliness and depression was more than any 15 year old should have to deal with. During my "dark days" being the fat, ugly *****, I wore yoga pants every day almost, because those were my comfort. For that I ALSO got bullied and made fun of and was told, "You only wear those because they're the only things you can fit in." Those words scar deeper than any cut you can imagine, and there's no cure. Every day I would go home and cry, and I would hate myself. My dad also used to tell me I was fat, and that hurt. Also when I was obese, I could tell how heavy I was when I went upstairs. It took me one last breakdown and one last final straw to change my life around. Now I'm 130. How did I do it? No help first off. I worked out every day for an hour and stopped eating fast food, stopped getting Venti's and going to Starbucks so frequently, stopped drinking pop and eating candy. Today I'm 130 and I went from a size13 to a size 3, and I can't be any happier than I am today. Now I get more attention, compliments, and sometimes people don't recognize me from high school. The funny thing is, now that I'm thinner and more confident, the people who brought me down want to befriend me again. Two words for them? "Fk you". You weren't there during my struggle, so don't be there during my success. To this day, I sit back and look at myself and what I've accomplished with a smile, and occasional tear but I'm proud of where I am, and that's all that matters.

I'm so sorry you had to endure that growing up. Ignorance and cruelty go hand in hand unfortunately. You look great and the most important thing is you feel good about yourself. Kudos to you hun! You are such an inspiration0

wow congratulations.
that's great to read that you've transformed yourself into someone you're happy with.
and yeah eff those people who were were jerks to you before. just because someone is overweight or different in any way is no reason to be horrible to them0 -
I'm sorry you were treated so poorly by your peers. You are beautiful in all the pics you have posted on your profile. Congratulations on the weight loss.0

Wow we have basically the same starting and ending weight and were close in age so hello my twin!
I totally know what you mean, I lost weight in a different country and kept it a secret on my facebook so my grand facebook reveal to all those *****es who were nasty to me and are now heavier was AWESOME!
Congrats on your amazing journey!0 -
All your pictures are beautiful! How people treat each other can say alot abut their character. Stay strong!0

Looking at your results I'm not surprised they want to come back and "befriend" you. Isn't it funny how the better you look, the better you get treated? The world is a harsh place and for many people the reason why they make the change is because they want to be a winner and they know that life is so much harder when you're overweight and unhappy with yourself.

It is true the prettier and skinnier you are the more people want to be friends with you and it's bull. Nobody should go through that cause it does leave a scar on you. I haven't been in school for almost 5 years now and I still hurt from all the bad things I went through. And I can't even imagine being bullied by my own parent. So many kids take their life due to bullying alone and a parent should be more considerate and supportive. You were beautiful then and you're beautiful now. And yeah fck those kids in high school. You're better than them.0

Congrats on your weight loss success. My son is 9yrs old and very tall and thin. A little boy from the neighborhood befriended him a while back. He is very over weight and 1yr younger than my son. The little boy told my son when they first meet how his classmates tease him and calls him fat and he has no friends. I told my son that as long as he's nice to you, then it doesn't matter how he looks or what his size is, and that he should never resort to such behavior. Now, this little boy comes over to play several times a week. My son says, mom guess what, Devon is soooo cool! I'm glad we're friends!0
