  • No longer thinking like a heavy weight can take some time!! I sometimes slip into negative thinking too & I suspect it is part of how I got to be so very heavy in the first place! Checking the mirror is a good place to start, but then that is not familiar either......!
  • I never had peanut butter until I was an adult as it was not eaten in my family when I was growing up. I never really developed a taste for it much although I do not dislike it. I am now seeing it in a lot of recipes for flavouring in healthy cookies. I also see it as low fat peanut butter which seems to get a bit of…
  • Love it! So right. I enjoy doing stuff I have not been able to do for years, just normal stuff & getting on a bicycle!!
  • I agree but it's hard to accept compliments when you have been so hard on yourself for so long & may not yet be where you want to get to. It is something we need to learn how to do while also learning what not to stick in our mouths......
  • Your diet is not that bad but could do with some tweaking. If your Mum sees you making healthy choices & eating well I am sure she will be fine with you looking well. If you get a diet sheet from your GP & follow that it will really help & reassure her too. You have a choice as to what to put in your mouth & even the…
  • Most definitely NOT! Enjoying not being in the outsize dept any more but as to where I am going it is towards health & not bones!!
  • Best thing you could do. Get one that you can zero with a dish on & the re-zero as you are adding food. May cost you that $50 or a little more as you are looking but keep going in stores & checking until you find the one you want, no matter what it costs & then keep your eyes open in the sales or look on the internet for…
  • Well done, that is an amazing success for you and your future!! I started at 303 and am now 215 so still chasing the 200.......... I will catch it......and pass it! I have MS and like you am getting better & better as I get less & less but it won't be a cure! Will be a whole bunch easier pushing a chair around though if I…
  • My faith in God can not be separated from any part of my life & that includes my quest to be thinner & healthier! Without God I am nothing and He has also given me some faith that I can do this big thing in little steps! Not sure just how folk cope without that?!?!?
  • I gotta just encourage you on this one.......
  • Gotta start somewhere! Well done for in a downwards direction!! One day at a time, one step at a time, one mouthful at a time - You'll get there!! Feel free to add a new friend if it helps!
  • Use the internet to search for what is on offer & where. Make a list & only get what is on it. Don't go in a bad mood or hungry or order on line?? Grow your own is good exercise too. If you only have a little patch you can do tomatoes, peppers, leaves in pots on the balcony? Aldi good & also some local neighbours may grow…
  • Oh wow! Good reason to be proud! Well done
  • First thing you need to do is purge your friends list of people who aren't going to support you. PS. I'd LOVE that cheesecake recipe if you'd care to share. I don't even have a lot of friends on here yet. I guess I just got all the bad ones :noway: Here is the recipe: Crust: 1/2 cup pecans 1/4 cup almonds 1/4 cup shredded…
  • I tried using conversion tables for this when making a Canadian cookie recipe (for others!!) Did not work at all & had to go out & buy cups. So frustrating!!
  • I have too many friends who are skinny who would love a bit of curve........we are as we are! We need to be comfortable in our skin! Why would you want to cuddle a stick any more than someone you can not get your arms around?!?!?
  • You can, you started, so let's watch you succeed!! Everyone hits their tipping point as some stage. I am enjoying tying my shoelaces without getting out of breath, walking up stairs properly instead of one step then move foot to meet the other, riding a bicycle!!!!!!!!!!! and loads more It takes time so be patient with…
  • Yup, I eat until MFP tells me to stop..... It is calculated that way!
  • You are doing just great! Keep it up.......
  • Stir-fry!! As many different coloured veggies with it at possible! Yum!!!!
  • As you said no excuses but done now & good plan to go on with.............it was fun but can not be allowed to last!! One day at a time!!
  • Keep at it! It will show eventually!! I see some differences particularly in how your arms hang but people tell me all the time I am shrinking & I really am not much but I am toning up so they can see that. Do not get disheartened.........it will shift!
  • You found a few then?? I am from the UK but my favourite place to travel to for a holiday is Vernon in BC & I go every 2-3 years to spend time there. So I am a wanna be Canadian!!
  • You want to, you wear it!! They are battle scars and you should wear them with pride!! If I could I would but I got a looooong way to go yet!!
  • As fruit is nowhere near as high in sugar than chocolate, which is how I got where I am, there is no way I will be able to eat enough for it to be a real problem. It is full of fibre & vitamins too so enjoy within reason! & don't track it.....
  • Welcome & all the best on your journey! I am also enjoying the UK weather but down south. If you need some friends for support feel free to add me......
  • Only if you eat more than 6 in a day!! Balance is good.....
  • Stir-fry with little fry & much veggies!!
  • and it could have been for 2 people to share!! Opinions are not required unless asked for. I suspect someone keeps commenting on her food & so she thinks everyone can do it........ You know yourself better than that. Ignore & move on!
