  • I just had to look seitan up as I'd never heard of it! I don't see that it is healthy or unhealthy as long as you don't have a wheat allergy of course! It's the same as any food, all good in moderation, eat too much of anything and you are going to put on weight. If you like it, eat it as part of your meal plan.

  • What is your scientific proof that it IS? I don't think there is any conclusive proof either way. Personally, I go through patches of eating breakfast and patches of not eating until lunch time. Weight loss hasn't been affected either way... Neither has my mood or anything that may make it an important meal. What I often…
  • Pineapple on pizza - wrong Cranberries / apricots in cheese - wrong Apple or raisins in coleslaw - wrong I love fruit, but not mixed in with savoury stuff! Oh and coke floats.... ice cream mixed with coke??? Just NO!
  • You need to look up the ingredients and add them to your diary because no-one can tell you unfortunately. Because.... the amount of cheese you used will make a huge difference! Also was it thick sliced bread or thin cut? You need to look up the type of bread you used and input that, weigh the cheese, look it up and input…
  • If he is eating from the cafeteria, he is probably eating more calories than he thinks. What kind of food is he choosing from there? Could he take food in instead and then he will definitely know how many calories he is consuming.
  • Or the total opposite... I'm the exact opposite my husbands Mum and he is the exact opposite of my Dad!
  • Always black coffee, then sometimes egg mayo and cold bacon and sometimes 40g all-bran or 2 Weetabix with a spoonful of sweetener and 10g of a mix of ground flax seed and psyllium husks and 2% milk.
  • Are the chocolates and biscuits things you took in or are they there for the residents? If you have taken them in, then simply don't. If they are in the cupboards for the residents then think of them that way (even if you are allowed to eat them too, just change the rules in your head! ;) ). They are NOT yours, you…
  • Off topic but no wonder my years are flying by... I thought there were 52 weeks in a year?! ;)
  • I like vegetarians, especially vegans, means more bacon and cheese for me... ;)
  • I don't really understand. You finish work at 2.30pm? What do you do for the rest of the day? Why can't you have breakfast before you go to work (prepare the night before if necessary) and then have a meal at normal dinner time? I often don't eat until afternoon if I'm up and straight out or sometimes don't feel like…
  • No, no and more NO!! OP has 471 calories left, more than enough for a decent meal that she SHOULD eat. I hope you are not a nurse as your user name possibly hints at!
  • If I'm trying to be good I always have chicken tikka (so no sauce to worry about), raita and either a small portion of plain boiled rice or a couple of popadoms. Failing that, I have chicken tikka masala or dopiaza, raita, just because I love it, and a mountain of paratha and popadoms with the pickle tray. And then gulab…
  • Haha, I rather suspect that the OP is having a bit of a laugh...
  • I just googled it, hahahahaha.... $27.99 for 20 teabags and their description says: Our proprietary blend of teas was formulated to target fat oxidation, boost metabolism, and increase antioxidants in your body. These components play a major role in aiding your body to burn more fat. Our signature blend has helped…
  • Why is it bad at anytime? Or before bed...? On the other thread you have said that a late night snack is bad because it turns to fat. Please stop it.
  • No, no it won't!!
  • Is there not a cooker in the common kitchen as well as a microwave? Could you not use that? A slow cooker is a great idea, presumably you could keep it in the common kitchen rather than your room?
  • My husband is socially awkward. He barely says a word, not because he's rude or even shy, he just doesn't talk a lot. Ever. We've been together 14 years and married for 9... It used to bother me at first, but he is who is is. I'm a really loud Northener, totally chalk and cheese. My loud, social friends and family had to…
  • I have to admit, I'm not up to running a half marathon, only about 9 miles and some of that is walking due to steep hills where I live but I use a camelback. It sloshes around a bit as it empties, but I actually quite like that, it's soothing white noise! :) That way I can just take a tiny sip whenever I need it, I hate a…
  • I love eggs, eat loads of them, but only eggs (and a bit of fruit/veg) for a WEEK? Why oh why would you do that? My word, I wouldn't like to be in your house by the end of it... phew-eee! :o

  • Oh, well I never, fancy that!! Never thought they might do that! Thanks a million, I shall go and search for those! :)
  • The OP is trying to gain weight, what is wrong with butter, sugar and Nutella? Peanut butter is peanuts with butter and sugar and Nutella is just, well, nuts and chocolate. I don't really see how one is better than the others...? am I missing something?
  • I eat a packet of crisps every single day. Without fail. Still losing weight...
  • You need to go to stores in person. Try clothes on until you find ones that fit. Take them home and wear them. Wash them on a cool wash. I'm not sure where you are shopping, but clothes shouldn't shrink so much they are unwearable when you wash them! If they do you are either washing them in water that is too hot or they…
  • Someone suggested this site on here and it's pretty good: https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/dumbbell-only-home-or-gym-fullbody-workout.html All the best.
  • You may well get the 20 lbs off if you starve yourself, but you won't look as hot as you think you will. Your hair will become dull and your skin will look sallow as you won't be getting enough nutrients to keep yourself healthy. It will then take a long time to recover. And you'll also be super hangry and an utter misery…
  • What on earth is "dirty food"?! Did you wipe it on the floor before you ate it...? In which case, no, don't do that again. But 2000 cals when you are usually eating 1200 is hardly going mad! It's probably only a couple of hundred over your maintenance, nothing to stress about. 800 cals is certainly not 5lbs worth, haha!…
  • I weigh every day but record my weight on a spreadsheet on Wednesdays. Whenever I hit a new low that goes on here just as a record, so that may be twice in a week or once a month...
