I love salads, my favourite is the Halloumi Caesar from Ed's Diner but if I'm at home and want a quick easy lunch, I really finely chop tomatoes, onions, avocado and crab sticks and mix it with a sprinkle of garlic granules and then either light mayo or balsamic vinegar depending what mood I'm in. Sounds and looks a bit…

ITSU seaweed thins, especially the wasabi flavour. 25 calories in the pack, really hit the spot for salty and crispy when I have no calories left! Also drink something with them and they must swell a bit, so are actually randomly quite filling, which is a bonus! :)

What an odd thing to say, myself and I'm sure many other MFP users are living proof that this isn't true. And if Dr Jung would like to come on here and dispute it, I am sure he would be very welcome to try and prove myself, and others wrong. I would like the opportunity to discuss his theory with him as I had over 20lbs to…

Ah bless, too much research can actually be as bad as not enough when you first start. You end up going down a rabbit hole of theories and getting more and more confused. For now, I'd just start really simply, don't start stressing about macros etc until you get into good eating habits. Put your stats into this website,…

Feel free to go elsewhere if you don't like it... I've been here just over a decade, it's great.

My husband rarely wears anything but when he does, he wears Clinique Happy. It's fairly old now I suppose, but oh yum, it's clean and smells really good on him... ;)

You could try a grain-free dried mixer with raw food. But if you go down the raw route, introduce slowly otherwise the results may be, erm, explosive!

Please don't beat yourself up! I "blow" my diet pretty much every weekend. Before I'd ignore it and just kept putting on weight but now it's planned, I know it's likely to happen and I enjoy every single calorie! I keep an eye on the "damage" and just reduce my calories for the rest of the week. So, for example, if I go…

Just to give another personal insight into IF. I naturally do 18:6, (some days 21:3 if I've been busy at work!) have done for many years, not knowing it was a "thing". I have a black coffee when I first get up, then nothing until about midday and have an early dinner as I eat with my daughter, so tend to be done by about…

I use the green veg bags, they work a treat for all fruit, salad etc. the I just rinse them and use them again next time...

I have arthritis and when I first started running (early forties, really unfit) I had all sorts of weird pains. I got my gait analysis done and fitted for a decent pair of trainers (always used to just wear whatever cheapo ones I happened to buy that felt comfy, didn't think it really mattered that much, £100 on a pair of…

ACV does not and cannot "remove belly fat"! Think logically about this, how does an inanimate liquid know which fat to go for? Why not arm fat or ear fat...?? I rather think it's the 1200 calories a day that's done the job.

First of all, how "healthily" you eat has basically nothing to do with weight loss. A few other questions to help work out what is going wrong: What are your stats? Height, weight, how much do you want to lose? Are you gluten intolerant? Or allergic to dairy? Is there a reason you have cut them out of your diet? Are you…

First of all, eating clean, (whatever your definition of that is) will not in itself help you to lose weight. A few other questions - What are your stats, how much are you trying to lose, how many calories are you eating a day? Are you weighing solids (on a digital scale) and measuring liquids of everything you put in your…

Is this on the right thread? I'm failing to see the correlation..?

No, no, no!!!! You have just been very lucky... And if you had ever had food poisoning, I can assure you it's quite a bit more than "icky guts". Why would you even risk it?
-
No, don't do it with lentils either..! :s No cooked food should be left out as they ALL breed bacteria at room temperature! As soon as they have cooled down they need to go into the fridge or freezer.
-
Seriously, don't do that!!!! https://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/can-reheating-rice-cause-food-poisoning.aspx?CategoryID=51

It is normal to plateau here and there, if you are logging accurately then at some point it will come off, give it at least 6 weeks and then re-evaluate. You seem a bit hung up on your lentils and rice issue which is really the wrong thing to be concentrating on, but I can see it's bothering you so... I would advise to…

So did you take any of the advice from back in 2016 or did you just waste your money on the one post that pedalled some rubbish? Please, read the advice given back then and follow it, it was good advice and still relevant today! Aggressive is NOT good...…

I think this entirely depends on your relationship with your husband, and only you can be the judge of that. For me, if my husband offered to help me I would jump at the chance of him cooking me good healthy food and making sure there was no nibbly junk in the house by doing the shopping. It would be coming from a place of…

Stop trolling with your "soy sauce"... Three threads, all just saying"soy sauce". What's the point? It's not even remotely funny, unless I'm missing something obvious...?

I thought you were on a chicken and broccoli diet? Who is cooking that for you? Also, have you thought about sitting down with your mum, explaining your goals and why it's important to you and ASKING her to help instead of TELLING her not to do things. Failing that, I'm afraid it's up to you to resist temptations, it's…

Go to your home page, then settings, then change units, part way down there is an option to choose calories or kilojoules.

Currently it's sun-dried tomatoes. Not the ones in oil, just the dried ones. Salty and chewy so take a while to eat, usually find about 4 is enough. Previously it has been dill pickles. I also like grated carrot and finely chopped onion with some balsamic vinegar thrown over it.

I think with your various medical issues you really need to speak to your doctor and get referred to a registered dietitian. Do you not have one from when you had your sleeve done? Any advice you receive via strangers on the internet could cause you problems, you really need an expert who is familiar with your medical…

It's still calories in - calories out, whether you eat or drink them and whatever is used up first is kind of irrelevant. If you are under your calorie goal for the day / week, then you will lose weight no matter what they are made up of. I enjoy my drinks at the weekend, flatly refuse to cut them out because then I would…

She's probably talking about this book... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eat-Right-4-Your-Type-ebook/dp/B0089WCD1U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1518162154&sr=8-2&keywords=blood+type+diet It's utter rubbish, but there are diets out there that allegedly work for your blood type...!! I looked at it once and immediately put it back on the…

I feel your pain! Give me a big mug of tea and a packet of rich tea fingers and I can literally soak up the entire mug with an ENTIRE packet of biccies. I rarely have them in the house now as no one else eats them and I can't just eat a couple! You are NOT a disgusting cow, you are what is known as "human". It's done now,…

What is ridiculous is that I used to think the same way to a degree and it wasn't until I wasn't losing weight eating lots and lots of fruit and veg and I started weighing all that fruit and veg and realised I was eating over 600 "extra" calories (at least, some days) in things like avocado, peaches, plums, grapes etc. It…
