I work out 6 days a week-4 cardio and 2 strength. I eat incredibly healthy. No sugar/gluten/dairy or processed foods. I am always under 1500 calories a day and low carb. I am So frustrated because I am trying to lose 20 lbs but I keep gaining!! What am I doing wrong? I am a 39 yr old female.

Have you lost nothing? How long have you been tracking your intake?

How long have you been tracking?

Are you measuring and weighing your foods and drinks?

I have been tracking for a month, and I haven’t lost anything. In fact, I gained 4 lbs :(

Where does that fall on your menstrual cycle?

Do you find your new diet bland? If so, are you adding salt to it that you didn’t add to your food before? Could just be water weight from excess sodium.

First of all, how "healthily" you eat has basically nothing to do with weight loss. A few other questions to help work out what is going wrong: What are your stats? Height, weight, how much do you want to lose? Are you gluten intolerant? Or allergic to dairy? Is there a reason you have cut them out of your diet? Are you weighing solids (with a digital scale) and measuring liquids of every single thing that goes in your mouth? How about condiments, oil, ketchup etc? Are you eating your exercise calories back, in which case, how are you measuring how many calories you burn?

Edited to add: Just seen your other thread, you say MFP suggested 1200 calories a day for you. You didn't mention if that's what you were eating. Whilst many can still lose on more than 1200, depending on your height and how much you want to lose, it may be that you need to eat closer to 1200 than 1500. Which sucks, but can be the reality for a shorty...
