  • I'm doing it!! Fitkris182 :)
  • nom nom... following!
  • 5'9, 183 here! My issues come from the kitchen, I'm not very good at staying on track, but I'm trying my best. I teach cardio kickboxing and I've also been doing a lot of intense strength training for the past ~8 weeks... I'm seeing some good muscle changes (arms are looking good!) but the scale has not budged! Hoping I'm…
  • Thanks everyone. I know I don't need to eat something I don't like (I hate fish and no amount of convincing would ever make me eat it), but I just feel like I need to eat eggs to be an adult or something... haha I don't know. Not really a fan of eating heavy things like chicken for breakfast though.
  • My love for exercising started with DVDs! Turbo Jam, and then Chalene Extreme... but Les Mills Combat has to be THE BEST! Nothing like punching to let out some aggression and get an awesome workout :D
  • I'm aiming for 150/155.. we'll see when I get there and re-evaluate!

  • hey guys! for the interval training... do you do all 15 or so minutes at the end, or are you supposed to break it up in between the other sets? ty :)

  • yeah, what is this "ONLY" 15 lbs?! that's a lot in 4 months i think!!! you look wonderful, congrats :) and yes to NROLFW!!!
  • Don't feel like typing too much lol so in summary: At the top of Mont Tremblant (beautiful large mountain in Quebec where the two of us stayed for the weekend to go snowboarding!) with a stunning view, no one around, and a beautiful ring and handsome man :) It was freezing, but I removed my goggles and face mask so that he…
  • Thanks ladies! Ugh, glad I was doing it right (10 reps per leg), but also disappointing haha! Great tip about knee height. I think I am probably just above that actually (5 -6 risers on the step), so I'll check tomorrow and see! I find if it's get too high, I end up wobbling too much... I blame my long legs for that…

  • Hey everyone I'm starting Stage 2 tomorrow as well! Not happy to see step-ups are back... I was always confused by the number of reps. Did you do (e.g.) 10 reps PER LEG for each set? Or did you basically do one set per leg? Also: what do you focus more on; increasing the weights in your hand, or the steps/height? ty…

  • So what can give you an accurate reading of BF% then? I've been using a Tanita scale but have been told that calipers are the best option... I need some way to get a fairly accurate idea!
  • whole box of roasted red pepper and basil triscuits... they're just sooooooo good! i tried the new Philly chocolate cream cheese...... after finishing it in one day (on bread first, the rest by finger! lol), I can never buy it again... sigh. lol
  • Although I don't appreciate the generalization that this is a GEN Y only thing (a Y'er here but by no means born close to 2000), the author makes good points.
  • Love Horror movies! Bumping to check out some of these later :) Love the classics, but Haunting in Connecticut actually really creeped me out...
  • saving for later! hopefully i can build up that butt of mine :) and to those saying it's genetics... my grandma/mom have boobs and butt... my sister has boobs, no butt, and i have neither. lol.
  • Maybe tickets to a game or concert for a favourite team/band he loves?
  • my mom bit into a jube jube and found a piece of metal shrapnel or something, broke her tooth. i don't think they offered her coupons or anything automatically but asked for the proof and everything, and i don't think they heard back. i think she just got tired of fighting for it and wasn't going to pay to sue lol.
  • hooray, way to go! you look awesome :)
  • it's not working for me? all i see are fuzzy women silhouette... tried clicking everything on the page lol
  • Check out the group specifically for NROLFW! :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/102-new-rules-of-lifting-for-women-nrol4w
  • Do you not tip when you receive any type of service? i.e. hair cut, restaurant... it's the same thing. they all get paid wages, the tip is based on their skills/service that you received. the tattoo artist screws up your tattoo? no tip (hell, i'd try and not pay if it was all their fault lol). if they did something AMAZING…

  • there is absolutely NO WAY that you could get bulky using something above 3 lbs, ever. :flowerforyou: Try 5 lbs. 3 lbs is not enough of a challenge as you progress through the levels and have to travel 30 miles to get new ones. Unless this is your first exercise EVER, then try 3 lbs. Again, YOU WILL NOT GET BULKY! Check…
  • OP asked for pricing estimates, you DEFINITELY need to consider included the tip if you're trying to get an estimate, especially since it should be about 15-20%.

  • Les Mills Combat (DVD) is a nice complement to Turbo Fire... I started off with Turbo Jam (original one!) and then moved to Body Combat at my gym and now teach the class! The DVD is definitely great and fun, the creators, Dan and Rach are really great, and it's much more MMA focused than TF/TJ, which is a bit more dance-y…
  • lol nice! i have such a hard time now pulling on my skinny jeans - it takes a lot of effort to pull them over my calves, whereas before i could just pull them all the way up in one swoop
  • i've heard of this, called "face yoga"... which is a lot nicer than "ugly face" i'm sure it could work slightly, but i can't imagine crazy results.
  • my understanding has always been that waist meant "the smallest part of your torso", which seems silly to me, because why would you want to measure your progress on the smallest part?! so I track both: waist - smallest part (under bust pretty much) belly - biggest part (generally belly button) just stay consistent on where…
