I love the Teal Terminators!!! Do we all want to pitch in with our weekly goals? I'm in a current challenge and we have 3 goals each week - one exercise related (# calories burned, or # of miles walked/biked/jogged/ellipticaled (not a word, I know), # of reps for upper/lower/abs), one food related goal (ounces of water a…

Hello Everyone ~ My name is Kerri and I am a 38 year old mother of a 22 month old and wife to my wonderful husband. I gained the majority of my 223 lbs during the past 4 years when life became chaos. Prior to those 4 years I was active (a former athlete in HS and college). I was down to 201 after my daughter was born in…

No one can motivate you to do anything. We all have to motivate ourselves. I am here for accountability, and the amazing support the MFP community provides!!

I would like to join, too. Could you please post the parameters, etc? I will be using a treadmill most likely, and I want to make sure that's ok - as well as the weekly goals of miles.

The one I use (Polar Fit 4) is based on your resting heart rate.

We are doing baked asparagus. Take a cookie sheet, break bottom joints off the asparagus, drizzle with olive oil (about 1.5tbsps for an entire tray), add a dash of salt and bake on 350 till done. Depending on how crispy you like it, the longer you leave it in. Very low calorie - and I plan on eating tons on T-Day!!

Welcome! This site is fantastic - and a great support for those that use it. Feel free to "friend" me if you want!

Are you getting enough calories in during the earlier part of your day? I know if I don't have at least 600 calories in by 3pm I am ravenous, too. I manage it with high protein / veggies and fruits during the earlier part of the day.

We are starting a new tradition for both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year: a walk outside to look at the Christmas lights instead of just driving around the neighborhood! It will help burn off the calories. Plus, we are already planning our meals for the days so that we can make sure we stay within our goals. This will…

Believe it or not, the Center Cut bacon is actually better for you in terms of calories, fat, and sodium content than the turkey bacon. Turkey bacon is only better than the regular fatty bacon you can buy.

Exactly - its about being a habit. Today is day 20 for me - almost 3 weeks in and I don't have this desire to sit on the couch and eat while watching TV as much. I'm not hungry - just doing it out of the routine and boredom. Now, if I do have a craving, I do 25 - 50 jumping jacks to get my heart rate up...and craving is…

You called it perfectly - you have to have internal motivation for the change to truly take place!!

Like everyone else is saying - avoid pre-packaged foods and eating out! Cook your own foods and it will help tremendously!!
