  • I've heard 6-12 cups a day and I've heard 8 cups and then 1 for every 10 pounds you wanna lose. My mom is tiny and drinks 4 cups a day. I am much larger and tend to drink 6-10 more if actually hot or sweaty work out. I believe we need x amount but that x varies by person. Kimmie

  • You can do this! Start walking. Start logging your meals. Measuring and weighing stuff to be accurate. Walking, as earlier suggested is low impact and a great beginning exercise.   • At your age, weight and height I'd say 1200 is a good number and give it atleast 2 more weeks before lowering any but at 5' tall you are small so can get by on the 1200 or slightly under range. Set your loss for 1lb a week and see what mfp says at sedentary. Don't give up. Kimmie

  • Theres no way you gained 4 pounds in a weekend. You may have overdone sodium and are retaining alot of water. It will pass in a few days and you should be back to 170 or below.
