I had started C25K and I am NOT a runner... I have severe hypermobility in my knees and my friends always make fun of it because its so bad, I also once had my physical therapist tell me that in the event of a zombie apocalypse I should have a car. My running is THAT bad. I really enjoyed C25K and it was so easy, I made it…

I modified a diet based of the Eat to Live book and bought the cookbook. I'm not much of a cook, so it has been a bumpy transition. I try to buy certified organic and I've also been making a point to eat more fruits and vegetables and cook using fresh instead of bagged or frozen. I'm currently on a vegetarian diet, but…

I always lose weight in my hips and thighs first and my belly is always the last to go. When I reached my highest weight, which was somewhere over 200lbs (I'm only 4'11") and started working out and lost 30 lbs, I noticed right away that my muffin top looked WAY bigger because I was losing so much weight off my lower…

I am also looking to get fit by February because my 30th birthday is at the end of the month.

Nope, bought it for myself. I just really like dinosaurs, always have. I don't take fashion too seriously, I think quirky things.

I did not not know American Eagle had extended sizes online, that is so exciting. I love their jeans, back in the day before I was plus sized, I always bought their jeans because they are good quality and the short lengths are cut in proportions unlike most short length jeans.

We don't have an H&M where I live, the closest one is about 4 hours away. I have bought some dresses from Plato's Closet (a "high end" consignment shop) that are H&M and I really like them...after a couple of years and several washes, they still look great. ON has been hit or miss lately, as always, their sweaters are…

I'm really short so I tend to stay away from jeans, I usually wear leggings or skirts/dresses. I just don't like the way jeans look on me unless I'm wearing knee high riding boots. I shop mainly at Forever 21 Plus and Charlotte Russe. I pick up random stuff at Target or thrift stores.

Of course not, I know better than to ever put diet soda into my body, which is a temple and cannot be defiled by the evil that is carbonated sugar drinks :)

Its my understanding that science has proven women can't lift.
-
I laughed so loud I just scared my dog....oh crap, does that mean I just got fat from the oxygen!?

Ha, this made me giggle. Have you ever seen the tumblr that is dedicated to stock photos of women eating salad? It's pretty entertaining.
-
I misunderstood and I totally understand what you're saying.
-
Of course it's predictable that women will show up and day that women are mean and cruel, that doesn't make the women who say it mean or cruel. It's just their observation. I have been mean and catty to other females and I've had the same back at me. I've grown up and realized that being petty and mean does nothing for…

I personally don't see if as an nsv, but you may. Everyone's bodies are different and it isn't always an indicator of health because one can see the outline of certain bones or have a thigh gap.
-
I agree with the OP, women are cruel towards each other. There has been some legitimate peer reviewed research that has been done on this, it's weird a phenomenon that occurs. It's sad that it has to happen.
-
I have never seen my collarbone. Even when I was less than 100lbs. Also I don't really care and I think a preoccupation with seeing your bones is a bit strange.
-
Stock photos just want you to believe that only women love salads and that we are really happy when we eat salads...but it's only masking the pain and agony of not being able to eat chocolate since that's all we eat in reality anyway. Oh society.
-
That is what I was thinking as well...it didn't seem medically possible, but I am not a doctor. Her body is fantastic and I'm sure she works very hard for it...but I think the social commentary we should be angry about isn't that she posted a photo of herself but that society thinks this is how women should think after…

I was curious to what this was so I looked it up and downloaded the book to my kindle...there was some great information in there and I think on my next grocery shopping trip, I'm going to plan out two weeks of meals following this diet and see how it goes. I already love fruits and veggies but cutting out poultry and…

I don't work overnights but I'm a night owl. I have worked overnights and I know how easy it is to gain weight or even just maintain while working that shift and it sucks. You can add me as a friend if you would like and good luck on your journey!
-
Thank you for saying this! I also have a large frame and as a short person it kind of sucks, but you just have to deal with it. I have very broad shoulders and an hourglass shape..most days I feel like a linebacker because I don't have a very "feminine" body type.

I am 4'11" and I reached my maximum height when I was 11 and I have been a variety of weights. I weighed 100 pounds for several years but I personally was not comfortable at that weight. I have broad shoulders and wide hips, for example, I have girlfriends that are only a few inches taller than me and about 20 lbs heavier,…

Congratulations, you look amazing. Keep up the good work!

In private, I would talk to her and say that you aren't comfortable with her lying to people about how she lost the weight. I wouldn't call her on it when she does it though, maybe she is struggling with embarrassment over having to have the surgery? I can't imagine that it would be an easy decision to make and it is also…

I guess I kind of fall under other. I tell my close friends and maybe one person in my family, like my mom...I didn't go out and tell everyone I knew or discussed it in casual conversation with acquaintances. Recently I have taken to blogging about my weight loss journey so now everyone and anyone who wants to read my blog…

I just have one dog, Levi Wigglesworth and he gets corralled in the kitchen while I am away. 1. He whines/barks 2. Gets up and stretches 3. Spins around in circles and wags tail. 4. Gets on couch and waits for food. Sometimes its a frantic thank god you are home bark and sometimes its just a meh, you finally made it bark.

I'm from Northern Minnesota/North Dakota....is that close enough? Oh and my dad is Canadian.
-
You are doing a great job, keep it up!

It sounds like you are making this a lot more difficult than it needs to be. I'm only 4'11" and I eat on average 1650 calories a day...you definitely need to be eating more. There is nothing wrong with enjoying foods or drinks that are high in calories as long as you do so in moderation. Some people choose to completely…
