I could eat oatmeal for every meal......it's so versatile...how do you keep it clean, for clean eating?

Like many, I started and never completed the program. I always had an excuse. It is tough! But one day I was walking and an older woman flew by me running. I had NO excuse. (nothing against age) I'm getting up there myself. So I just kept telling myself if she could do it, why can't I. So now I"m on Week 7 day 3! I feel so…

I'm in too! I haven't taken the initial test yet! Wish me luck!

I have the program too, but was unable to understand the diet. Can anyone else give a good description of what we need to follow?

I have a Polar HRM. In a live 60 min class, depending on the instructor, I will burn anywhere from 550 to 700. At 700 I'm ready to fall over. On Zumba Wii 2, in the mid-length class (45min) I burn about 400-450 cals. You have to have a Fitbit or HRM to tell you how much you actually burn. I can't live without mine. I also…

I found that right after my cycle I would really drop weight quickly, but before it was either a gain or a plateau. I stuck with it and it worked.

I first tried Zumba at the gyma and instantly fell in love! It is hard for me to go with my husband back in school and a daughter in first grade so I bought the first DVD package and then I was given Zumba II for the Wii at Christmas. They are amazing. I prefer the Wii game because the song choice is better. I find I burn…

I'm in! This is a great, very attainable goal! Good luck to everyone!

Zumba is my addiction! I go to classes, have the videos, and have the Wii game! When you go to the classes, you will see every body type there. I have seen a wide range of ages too! Even some men attend. I felt really uncomfortable when I first went, but then I realized everyone is there for the same reason: to lose…

I have the videos and the second Wii Zumba game. I love both but prefer the game over the videos. The classes are amazing but they are expensive if you don't have a membership. I burn almost the same amount of calories. Either way you're moving your body!

Made me cry! I'lll never look at them the same...thank you...she was mine for nine months until I had to share her! This is like a footprint in the sand!

I found during TOM my weight might go up and then right after I notice a big drop that I expected during TOM. I also drink tons of water. This helps. Goodluck and remember it is worth the hardwork and lack of cheese burgers! Think about what you want more, to have control over your food or let it control you...You can…

Cograts! You look amazing and have overcome many obstacles in your life. You are powerful and can do anything you set your mind to accomplishing. I needed to see your story today. I'm more inspired now then ever! Thanks

thanks everyone for the information. I think this proves the point that we need to do what works for us. I feel tired after a workout like zumba but don't think I need a protein shake. I do like the option of chocolate milk! This was my one craving when I was pregnant with my daughter.
-
so my question is what is considered intense workouts? I do zumba for an hour and burn anywhere from 500 to 600 plus calories according to my heart rate monitor. So do I need a shake or something afterward? This is so confusing!

I'm glad I read your post because I have only seen my number drop slightly but i'm getting smaller! I've already lost a pant size. Why doesn't the number change? UGH! At least I'm still getting smaller.

Again, like many of you I was shocked to see the machines were not accurate! It's not just by a little either. I use my HRM because when I have relied on it instead, I lose more. This is another reason why people should purchase a HRM. I like my Polar one!
-
I just bought mine too! I am so in but nervous because I don't know what to expect! Everyone says here and on other sites how great it is and they got awesome results. We'll see!

I agree that diet is really confusing. I try to think whole grains and natural foods like veggies and fruits. I also try to drink at least 64 ounces a day. Once I did that I felt soooooo much better.

That is amazing! Thank you for the words of support! I needed that this morning! You Rock!

I'm an emotional eater as well! It sucks when you're doing well and then something happens and you become derailed from your plan. Don't worry about him. In fact I wouldn't even talk to him about it. That's why you have us here to talk to anytime. You should be proud of yourself because you took the first step and have…

Foods high in fiber and protein will help you feel fuller longer. I learned the hard way.

Congrats girl! that is really a lot of motivation for me to stick with it!

I will have to check out the fit tv. I have it but always forget about it. Thanks for the reminder!

I am so up for this challenge...I need a little motivation. 5lbs is also a great short term goal!

Any suggestions for those of us who like oatmeal in the morning with dried cranberries and raisins? I looked and found the carb level to be so high for oatmeal! Good grief...I thought it was good for you?
