Thanks for your advice. And ouch......sorry to hear about your bone breaks. That's horrible. :(.

Do you have any recipes? I have 2 strays I'd like to get rid of. Lol

I overestimate cals eaten and don't log exercise calories at all. I'm aware of this

Not a whole cheat day, a cheat meal. If what you're doing works for you, so be it. So far what I've been doing works for me. Different strokes for different folks :)

Not that's not what I'm trying to do at all. I hate having a 'cheat' meal and I usually feel guilty after having them. It's a mindset thing really. My parents are taking us out to breakfast in the morning and usually on Sundays I have one meal where I don't log, I was just curious if having so many left over cals everyday…

Thanks and congrats on your weight loss!

How ironic....I'm addicted to the Office too! Lol

I've been completely stalled for 2 months because of cheat days. For me at least, one leads to another, and another, and another. It's hard for me to get back on track once I have that cheat day. I'm going to start incorporating a cheat meal once per week instead. For example, if I'm really craving chinese food, I'll have…

Thanks again everyone. :). It has been extremely hard starting off form 395 lbs, but I'm getting there. I guess the best thing for me to do it to start some beginner weight training. Are machines ok, or should I do free weights?

I butchered that last post.....sorry. Forgot to spell check....I type too fast lol
-
Thanks for the replies. I think the main reason why I haven't stuck wth weight training is because it's so intiidating. Do I use machines, free weights, simple movements, compound movements? UGH. Confusing

I've been taking citalopram for years and I've lost around 120 lbs in the last year.
-
This makes sense. I will make sure I do this. Thanks
-
Awesome. I'm going to go with one cup.....Thanks guys.

Thanks for the responses. I bought Re-Feed nighttime recovery from GNC. I'm going to mix it with 1% milk before bed. We'll see how it works :)

I took it for 7 months and lost 100 lbs in those 7 months. The only side effects I had was dry mouth and constipation. As people have said, it's not a magic pill and you must eat healthy and exercise or the weight will come right back on when you finish taking it. Just adopt a healthy lifestyle (sounds like you have) and…

Totally agree!!!! I love to offer advice to people, but what I hate are excuses and 'well so and so did it this way'. I'm not saying my way is the right way, but I may know my stuff just a little. It annoys me, but that's when I realize those people that give their crazy advice and still deliver excuses aren't ready for a…

I've lost 105 in 8 months so yeah def doable. You have to completely dedicate yourself though. Exercise exercise exercise!!! No excuses!

You have to decide that you and your health are worth it. It's ok to be 'selfish' and work on you! You cannot be fully there for your family if you end up developing health problems because of your weight. I started my weight loss/health journey 8 months ago and let me tell you, it was crazy how guilty I felt for taking…

Honestly, I haven't had fried foods in over 8 months, but I want some fried chicken breast lol. I don't know if I'll need that much oil, but it's great to know you can use less! Thanks guys!

I've lost 106 (haven't updated my ticker) since October 2011. Here are some pics .... The first is from dec after about 45 lbs lost and the 2nd is from May

Totally agree!!!!! Sometimes I feel I'm too harsh on people when they ask for advice. I hate hearing excuses. Take control of your life and DO IT! This is so cliche, but of I can do this, anyone can.

I am hypothyroid, and while yes it makes it harder to lose weight, it's not an impossible as people make it seem. Just get on the right meds and use common sense with a good diet and exercise. I just lost 100 lbs with hypothyroidism, and in my case it didn't make it harder.

Thanks :). I do A LOT of exercise. I am at the gym everyday. I do cardio everyday and I do a full body weight routine 3 times per week. The weight loss has amazed me myself. I def dont starve myself and I eat what I want. If I want chocolate, I'll have it. Thanks again!

My tips have just been extreme motivation. I really don't know what made me start, but I was tired of being fat. Tired of people overlooking me just because of my size. My body didn't match my personality and I was done with excuses.

Of course you can friend me! Thanks guys! Everyone on this site has been so awesome and supportive.

I meant to say 100 lbs lighter lol. I def don't want to feel 100 lbs heavier lol. Thanks guys!

Metallica, Journey, AC/DC (particularly Thunderstruck), Limp Bizkit (Break Stuff), Theory of a Deadman, Kix and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm a rock junkie. Lol.
