Tania, you are eating 1200 calories a day and burning most of the calories off. You cannot afford to eat treats at that calorie level (every day, by the way, not once in a while). And my point was that for SOME PEOPLE, not everyone but still a lot of people, the sugar content by itself is unhealthy.

I support anyone who is following a healthy diet -- and there are many variations on a healthy diet. I cannot support someone who is following an unhealthy diet and encouraging others to do the same.

If I drank that for breakfast, I would pass out by 10 am. I'm insulin resistant. Fruit sugar is still sugar, to your body. At McDonald's my best choice is an Egg McMuffin (no cheese or meat) OR scrambled eggs and an English muffin.

This is a great thing to point out. Many people tear muscles or tendons *from stretching*. I tore calf muscles in both legs (20 years apart) and both times it was while I was stretching. I wasn't doing anything extreme, just a little calf stretch, and POP! so it certainly does have its dangers.

Mickey - you may be able to help the aches and pains by stretching after. :)

The most research over the last few years supports what you're doing. No benefit has been found to stretching before exercise, and in fact it can decrease performance and increase injury. There may be some benefit to stretching after. Here are some links to reliable sources.…
