My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.

coconut water!

detour? I will look for those, thanks! I am lactose intolerant, and many bars include nonfat milk powder, so I have to really scrutinize the lables. Milk powder content varies in the different flavors of Atkins.

crabs? there's a cream for that.
-
Craft beer. How I miss it.

some people do fantastic on paleo/low carb. other people do better with more carbs, and simply watching calories. Neither diet is harmful and it's worth giving them a try to see which suits you best! good luck :)

I usually eat Atkins.
-
you could speed things up by chopping off a leg.
-
ah, that makes sense! thanks for your serious answer. It was niggling at me.
-
that's not what your diary shows for the last week, just fyi.
-
yogurt (just yogurt) is great! flavored and sweetened yogurt is a sugar bomb with craploads of additives! which one are you eating?
-
but then you'd still be peeing it out, see what I mean? When it's balanced out, you should be peeing close to the same amount you drank (minus a small amount of sweat).
-
so theoretically if you're retaining more water, you'll slowly swell up?
-
I'm totally serious! if it's not coming out, then it's staying in your body. Water can't disappear.
-
I'm honestly curious, those of you who say you start peeing less often, where does the water go if you're not peeing it out?
-
it's also for PCOS! I have taken it for 9 years, and it has been excellent. I'm one of the people it works wonders for.

It's not a fringe conspiracy theory, and it's not even a secret that the food industry has influence over nurtition guidelines. Here's some evidence for you. No wikipedia, no fluffy websites, no baseless assertions here. I hope my sources are up to your standards.…

Note: I am NOT a conspiracy theorist in any way, but I am a realist. A number of years ago I did a consulting project for the USDA, and I learned that they aren't an impartial bunch of regulators. They also promote sales of US agricultural products, and they work closely with the producers. In addition to that, the…

because for some people, they are the enemy. People with insulin resistance don't respond to carbs well, which leads to weight gain and other health problems. If you don't have insulin resistance, lucky you! but please respect those of us who need to follow this lifestyle.

If I have grains for breakfast, even whole grains, I crash. I need to have a high protein breakfast.

Fruit contains many types of sugars, including fructose and sucrose (same as table sugar). Your body treats sucrose the same whether it comes from candy or fruit. If you are Type 2 diabetic or insulin resistant, you need to limit fruit. Otherwise, if you are within your calorie limit and are losing weight, don't worry.
-
I totally avoid them as well. Too high in sugar. Bananas in particular are highly overrated for their nutritional value. They are not a high potassium food, only medium at best. There are many more foods that provide potassium for fewer calories.
-
Fruit contains many kinds of sugar, and fructose is only one of them. Fruit also contains sucrose, which absolutely will raise your insulin if you are insulin resistant. Sugar from fruit DOES matter, and just like any other food, yes it CAN make you fat, or at least sabotage your weight loss, if you eat too much of it.
-
I do think we eat a LOT more sugar than we used to. but in the "olden days" I suspect a lot of PCOS was just undiagnosed.
-
For everyone here, I would like to say that it is important to treat your PCOS regardless of whether you are trying to lose weight or get pregnant. Over the long term, PCOS puts you at higher risk of diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers. "Treating" it does not necessarily mean you have to take medicine. It can also…

I don't know about lotions, but exfoliation won't do anything for perkiness. You'll have nice smooth skin though. :)

I have a big note to myself on the front door, so I can see it before I leave the apartment. It says in big black letters KEYS. hahaha.
