As soon as you find something let us all know! I am running with the in the ear buds and am ALWAYS adjusting them. I would just like great sound and light weight!

On the food tab there is a "sub-tab" that has recipes. You can find it there.

I have always heard that if you are standing outside before your run and you aren't shivering lose a layer. Obviously this is when it is cooler out and you want to wear layers.I live in MN and the winters get pretty cool. When run outside I would wear a tank top one long sleeved running shirt and a light weight jacket and…

Job well done! I agree my splits are normally the other way or a bell curve. I am slow then fast then slow again!

I haven't tried it but if you do and it works, I would love to try it! I listen to music but would love to change it up now and then.

WAY TO GO!!! That is awesome! I am 29 and I don't think that I could run it that fast! That makes me want to do a happy dance for you :)

My brother helped push me into running. If you really want to run sign up for a race 8-10 weeks from now, like a 5k. You can prepare for a race of that distance in that time. That is really the only thing that keeps me running right now. Don't get me wrong I love running but my life is busy. Training takes time but it is…

AWESOME!!! I ran my first half on May 20th in Green Bay. I was on a runners high afterwards. I didn't train as well as I should have, I am hoping to make up for it with my second half. I am running the Lady's Speed stick half in Bloomington in August!

Your story sounds similar to mine except I wasn't a runner in the past. In February I started running and now I try to run 5 days a week. I haven't used a coach. I read a lot about form, training programs, shoes, etc. My two favorite websites after MFP are runnersworld.com and mapmyrun.com! I can do my easy…

Great to have you here! Add me if you'd like!

Bump...I am curious about this.

Before I give any advice I will tell you I am NO expert. I have only been running seriously for about 10 months. That being said I would take a little time and be sure that it is shin splints. If you have time go to runnersworld.com and search shin splints there is an article that was written in 2001, Shin Splints; Shin…

I think that you could try to eat more. Try for 2-3 weeks changing your goal from 2 lbs loss each week to 1 or even .5 lbs each week. You need to fuel your body in order to help it lose the weight. Keep at it!

I finished!! I didn't make my goal. I started out too slow...who does that?! Anyway, they ended up closing down the whole race right about 10:00am (Just 10 or 20 mins after I crossed the finish line! ) due to the high heat. I heard that they had 150 racers down from heat related problems! I only saw about 6 but my brother…

THANK YOU for the information! I didn't even think of lip balm, I am glad you mentioned it! They have increase the amount of water stations so I believe that they moved them to every mile, with ice, gatorade, and water at each location. Thank you for the kinds words as well! When I read them my excitement went through the…

I believe it will happen! I have three children that have left a lasting legacy on my body. (totally worth all of it) I have a pooch. I have stretch marks. I never get the 'red' stretch marks but the white ones I did. It didn't look like I had stretch marks when I was pregnant then after I had my kids it was like a party…

I know you can do it Erin! I just recently started running (February) and I am running a half on Sunday! You have plenty of time to train and condition for the 26.2! I wish I had time to train for a marathon. Good luck!! I can't wait to hear about your progress!

I am running my first half this weekend. I am nervous!! But very excited. I imagine that I will keep it up. Truly enjoying running!

Hello Runners! I am Amy, almost 29. I started running in February 2012. I decided to jump feet first. I haven't run a race yet. I am hoping to run my first half marathon/race on Sunday! There are about 4 to 7 5k's this summer that I'd like to run so after Sunday I'll be working on speed training. Since this is my first…

That is so awesome! I have had this same NSV! I was out running when the wind was close to 30mph, and running into it! In the past if I would have seen someone doing this I would have thought, "That girl is crazy, who would run in wind like that". And now today I think, "I am among the crazy, and I love it!" Way to keep…

My story is too long to tell but Welcome! I hope that you can find the support here to keep you going! The best thing for me is to watch the success stories! It helps me stay focus and see the end goal. TRYING to make this a lifestyle change not a diet. Again Welcome!!!

That is plenty of time! I started as a couch potato! and I am training for a 1/2 marathon that is in 5 weeks and I started reallly running in February. So I am only 11 weeks in and I can run 10 miles now! Just take it slow don't over do it. Once you are done with the C25K just keep up with your running. There are a lot of…

I too am feeling the same way. I haven't lost a lot of weight, I didn't really have a lot to lose. I had though become very soft. I have had three children and I was eating like my kids did,so I I was barely fitting into the largest size pants I had ever been in. Now I am slowly getting rid of the softness and increasing…
