I agree that if it was hotter outside than normal, that may have added to the difficulty. This used to happen to me frequently when I went over 4 or 5 miles. About a year ago I was told to buy my running shoes a half size bigger. I did and it hasn't happened to me one time since then. I still buy the same brand and model shoe, just bigger. Ran a 25k today in fact - no numb feet even after 15.7 miles!

Congrats and good luck!!! Run the World by Beyonce is the best running song! I have done dozens of races and nothing makes me run faster than this song so save it for the last half mile. I agree with Fighter by Christina Aguilera and Titanium. Those are on my playlist too. I also like Fire Woman by The Cult.

I fell sick yesterday so I couldn't do my long run this morning, which would have put me over my goal. So bummed!!! Ended the month just short with 95 total miles. :sad:

^^^100% agree!! I used to work at a gym and I always thought the bigger girls were awesome! We were proud of them and tried to encourage them to stick with it. You may inspire someone else there who needs to know she's not the only bigger girl at the gym, you never know. I vote go for it!!!
