I lost 10lbs in 19 days and I didn't lose it from my tummy. I lost it in my back and legs. It's a start, but I'm still disappointed I didn't lose anything in my belly. I guess I'll just keep pushing.

the best way to get around the sodium issue is to not eat anything that comes out of a package. fresh is best. and even some fresh stuff has salts.... I've been finding that I have been going over my sugar limit without even eating candy.... just yogurt and the fruits I have during the day provide me with enough sugar.…

I am 33, have 4 kids (10 yo girl, 8 yo boy, 5 yo girl, 3 yo boy) and I'm married now for 14 years but I've been with him since 9th grade (HS sweethearts). I'm in nursing school and graduate this December! I'm tired of yo-yo-ing with mfp and my weight. I need so much pushing and motivation and I'm hoping someone here can do…

Wow.. it looks like you had the same goal I currently do. I am 195 pounds (88.45kg) and have a goal weight of 150 pounds (68kg). So far in 10 days I have lost 6.8 pounds (3.1kg) and it has really motivated me seeing your post.... I can't imagine what it will be like to hit maintenance mode! Did you do cardio everyday as…

Hey girl! I know you can do it because last year I lost 30lbs using this website. However I find that using the message boards and having connections to people who are as like minded as myself make it easier to stay motivated. One day at a time we can change our future. As long as we don't get ahead of ourselves, it will…

I can't believe I'm going to say this... but I have had so many nay-sayers in my life so what really inspires me and keeps me motivated is Katy Perry's Roar.

Welcome! This site does work. Actually this is the first time I have ever used the community chat/message board thing.. I have always done it before via ipod app. I lost 30lbs last year but when Christmas came in 2012, I put it all back on right after. I believe it was due to the holidays AND because I started taking my…

wow...I have never been running when it's been that cold out... I live in Norfolk, Va and it usually only gets as low as the 20s - teens in the winter here. So far it's been in the 30s on average. I would have NEVER pegged myself to run in the cold, but the drive and motivation i'm feeling right now is fantastic so it's…

Thank you for your reply :) I am just taking it one day at a time. If I can do what I can TODAY to lose the weight, then I have already achieved my goal. Every run I take, every healthy food choice I make, and every bottle of water I drink will bring results. After the dietician class I have taken (and obvious experience)…

Thanks for your post! Seeing that the motivational posts and speaking with other mfp users has helped you stay on track is encouraging to me. Great job on the weight loss!! You're half way there!

Ashley, I can relate to your situation. First of all, the yo-yo decisions of dieting... I'M TIRED OF IT TOO!! Secondly, I miscarried my 3rd pregnancy. Doctors said they couldn't give me an explanation, and they just called it a spontaneous abortion. The body will end a pregnancy itself if something isn't developing right…

Hi! I've been on MFP for a while too, but I never have taken advantage of the forums. I'm hoping that it will keep me in check and that I can buddy up with people for support. I am very driven! I lost 30lbs last year but when xmas came in 2012, I put it all back on. I'm getting ready to start nursing school and I want to…
