thankyou for posting this- Finally somewhere that explains 'skinny fat' people costantly tell me I'm thin- they don't understand that under my clothes is a very different story! I don't want to look overly muscular, i think I'll need to work out a training regime that is good for me.

The more you can prepare the less stressful the event will be. Definitely phone ahead, check that they can accommodate your needs, if you are worried about calories tell them you are on a low fat diet for medical reasons? I'm thinking the opposite - it seems quite a lot for me, being short (im 5 3') means I'll loose weight much slower than someone who eats 1200 and is 5 inches taller than me.
