  • Anything with aspartame in it gives me an awful headache. If that isn't a sign they're bad for, I don't want to know what is.
  • You know, with a few of you saying you don't eat anything at the theater, I think I might try it tonight. Usually I bring my own snacks so I don't look twice at the concessions but testing the ol' will power tonight will be a nice challenge.
  • For bringing my own snacks? I've heard that it's frowned upon, but I've never had an usher bust me for having my own ziploc bags. Everything is hidden in my purse when I enter and I take it out when the lights dim. It's what my Mom always did ;).
  • I weigh myself everyday because I have a problem. Yes, some people do it to average all the numbers, and that's fine, but for me personally I weigh myself daily because I have insecurities. So please do your best not to pick up this habit unless you feel it would somehow benefit you.
  • As long as the guy isn't in either extreme, I don't really care. I've dated all body types and don't prefer one over the other. What I'm attracted to is affection. I had a boyfriend who was super fit. He was in the army, older, he sincerely felt way out of my league and was blinded by his gorgeous eyes. In the end though,…
  • Pan's Labyrinth. Beautiful filmography, acting, effects. Perfect in my book.
  • Superbad Napoleon Dynamite Twilight (movies and books. Most anti-woman shight I've ever had the misfortune to learn of) I hated HP 4. That dude is NOT Dumbledore. I stopped going to see them after that. The DaVinci Code Can't think of any others at the moment, but I'm sure it'll come to me.
  • There is probably a reason ;). Maybe your craving is rooted in wanting something cheesy and crunchy. If you have it on hand, try some cheese and crackers (properly portioned out). But first, wait a day or two and see if the craving doesn't just go away on its own. Sometimes telling yourself, "NO I CAN'T have that!" just…
  • I lost my best friend to what you are describing. It was devastating at first, realizing she didn't like the thinner more confident me. I should have seen the warning signs like you did, her not wanting to eat around me, not coming to see me as often, but I was high on success and didn't notice. WHAM, I get a message from…
  • LOL it was wonderful to see your thought process throughout. I seriously sympathize what you went through when you started gaining weight in your low 200's again. That happened to me when I hit 169. I just lost control and started gaining again. It's devastating and yet oddly safe again. Still, I missed people telling me…
  • No, afraid not. You could be (quantifiably anyway) the hottest man or woman in the world, that doesn't guarantee anything, let alone fidelity. There are a lot of factors that go into cheating. If you look online you can find confessions from anonymous men explaining why they cheat (once, twice, the entire relationship) and…
  • I understand your frustration, really, I do. But dear, you shouldn't be hungry all the time. I think something is wrong with that. If you're hungry AND not losing, plateaus around every corner, something has to change. How many calories are you taking in and how many of those are from protein? Maybe your body is trying to…
  • The experts do NOT say the same thing. That rarely happens in terms of ANYTHING, from global warming to the beneficial/harmful quality of eggs. http://healthimpactnews.com/2011/can-saturated-fat-in-milk-help-maintain-good-cholesterol/ "Research coming out of the University of Copenhagen suggests that milk might actually…

  • I love Biggest Loser, hate the drama. Losing weight is enough drama without stupid game play. I'd prefer to see the voting portion of the show removed and have eviction based on how much weight was lost. But that's just me. Of course, regardless of the format I would have loved to be on the show when I was 300lbs :).
  • For those who say nutella has too many unnatural ingredients and sugar (which I agree with) how about making your own? http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/special-dietary-needs/gluten-free/homemade-nutella/ This recipe uses agave nectar but some people really hate it. I don't see why a simple syrup of your sweetener of choice,…
  • Hey, everyone who lost only a little or gained, do NOT be disheartened. Even the fact that this past weekend was Halloween, with it officially falling on Monday means temptation was everywhere. If you indulged, that great. You should! But it'll take a bit for all that extra sugar to get out of your system. Give it a bit…
  • The reason why you had initial success on weight watchers was because you weren't eating much. The reason it came back is because that kind of lifestyle is difficult to maintain and your body becomes adjusted to lower calories and holds onto the weight to help you function throughout the day. I know it's a big adjustment…
  • I think they'll be able to find it okay. The last post links to this thread and anyone wanting to comment will see it.
  • Love this! Thank you for spreading the word :).

  • I drink Grass Point's 2% reduced fat milk, about a cup a day. I think the fat in milk is great for you, if the cows were grass fed. I'd drink the whole if I could find it.

  • Checking in! Starting weight: 200 Week 1: Wasn't on board yet, N/A. Week 2: 199. 1 pound... I'll take it.
  • Don't beat yourself up too much :). I think it's good for your body to fluctuate a little in calories. You'll be better off in the long run., even with weight gain.
  • Truvia is your best bet for close to zero calorie. It has 3 carbs a serving and comes from the stevia plant. It dissolves well. I use it in my tea.
  • Actually, there is! http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/healthtool-fast-food-choices Wendy's small chili is a great source of protein ( 17g, 6G fat, 21g carb) for 210 calories. There are other options, but really, unless you're far from home you're much better off making your own alternatives ;).
  • I know you can do it :). It will be hard but just keep telling yourself you're worth it.
  • That makes me really leery. If you love it, I'm happy for you.
  • Even if it is advirtised as being zero calorie, says so on the package, it is not. Thanks to the FDA regulation, if a "serving" (also not regulated) is below 5 calories it can claim zero calories. Like spray "butter" http://www.diet-blog.com/11/are_spray_butters_a_healthy_choice.php The only zero calorie anything is water.
  • I've been on Depo Provera for about 10 months now and other than bleeding a lot in the beginning I haven't noticed any problems. I have gained weight, but that's on me for eating crappy food and feeling depressed and not getting out of bed. It sounds like it's most definitely not for you! Luckily you're only one shot in…
  • I'm pretty new myself. By all means add me unless you already have enough friends :). Welcome aboard, everyone is really kind and supportive here.
  • If it's any consolation, the tables could have easily been turned. We were roughly the same weight, supported each others bad habits for five years. If she had been the one to say enough when I wasn't ready, lose a hundred pounds and find love... Looking back, it couldn't have been easy for her to deal with. I'm sure your…
