I don't know if anyone will see this update but I just wanted to let you all know that I have left Mike. I left him roughly a year ago actually and I'm just now beginning to date again. I learned a lot from being in a relationship like that and I know now what kind of warning signs to look for in a potential…

Right now I'm having a late lunch of chicken chili with some crackers. I don't get home till after 8 so I have some trail mix if I start having trouble concentrating. Last night for dinner I made black beans and caramelized corn so I'll be having it again, probably over half a cup of white rice Edit: Forgot to add that I…

Last week: 199 This week: 200 I feel like such a utter failure. Why can't I just leave bad food alone, stick to my calories and behave? Really frustrated with myself lately.

I found this rough guide. It's a bit of work to extract the fiber calories, but after you do it once for one recipe at least you don't have to do it again :). http://www.ehow.com/how_5155227_count-calories-juicing.html

Liluth is the name I put for all the game characters I create, like in Dragon Age, Harvest Moon, Knights of the Old Republic. More original than Mary or Sarah, but not so complex that I don't like it/use it.

Then you are just good friends. Have you ever heard of consumate love? It's a triangle. Good good friends involves intimacy (sharing thoughts) and commitment (loyalty) but no passion (sex!). You deserve to have all three :)

I think it's vital that you be best friends with your boyfriend. Some might disagree but if you can't just hang out with them, talk and argue, what are you basing the relationship on? Ultimately, it's not what we think that matters! Do YOU have the hots for him? If not, don't go for it. It's hard, if not impossible, to…

A message to everyone: Please know that I do have boundaries that are deal breakers no matter how much I love him. If he ever hit me, one of my loved ones, or threatened to kill himself if I left him, I would leave. No begging, no tears, no threats would keep me there. I don't care if we were married at that point, had…

Haha, oh, Heidl, I had hoped no one would notice the psychology background ;). I do know the likelihood of him making a full recovery and it's basically null. Being in psychology, you'd think I'd know better. I feel so very very stupid having stayed in so long, and continuing to do so when I know it's not good for me when…

I had similar concerns because it seemed like therapy wasn't doing much good. I attended a session and he was saying the same things to the psychologist that he said with me. I think now it's just a matter of getting him on the right anti-depressant (Wellbutrin at the moment). Being new to relationships, I have often…

Thank you Lloyd for your honesty. I wanted nothing but. You are right, I would NEVER NEVER want a child to be around him when he is like that. If it is painful for me to hear, though understand, I can only imagine how devastating it would be to a child. They would take it personally and a lifetime of therapy for themselves…
-
I had come to that conclusion. A child is so impressionable, the things he says sometimes would be really horrible to grow up around. But thank you for confirming that child with him would be a horrible horrible idea.

Your father's behavior when he wasn't mobile sounds a lot like Mike. He often says, "If this is how I feel at 27, what is it going to be like at 47?" He feels like his life is over which is why therapy has been so good for him. He just started Wellbutrin about a week ago, so that's probably been affecting him a bit. I've…

Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. I know only a little bit of the pain you must have gone through, but enough to know that you're incredibly strong and admirable. I hope some day (with or without me) Mike will be able to share a similar story. I would like to clarify that he is getting help through a…

I was afraid you were going to say that. It just feels so wrong to leave him when I feel like he needs help the most. (He is getting professional help, in the form of anti-depressants and therapy. I don't suppose that changes things?) Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to tell me what you think.

Checking in... Last week: 199lb Current week: 199lb. No loss, no gain, I'm okay with that considering what a bad week it's been. Good luck to everyone else.

I was really depressed this past Sunday and I overate by a lot. There aren't too many unhealthy foods in my apartment, but I managed to eat them, lol! At the end of the day, I totalled my calories honestly, took a good hard look and told myself, "Do better tomorrow." That's all you can do. That and NOT beat yourself up…

I personally don't trust anything that says it's based on a study if a link to the study isn't provided. Part of being a good journalist is taking a piece and putting the most interesting/controversial headline on it. Facts, new article, or gtfo.

That's about 6.24 ounces. A serving of meat is four ounces, so I would say just consume that or half of it if you're really confident in what your nutritionist is telling you.

You know... I don't know why I didn't immediately think the same thing... but you're absolutely right. She must have looked over his shoulder or gotten on the computer when he stepped away. Yikes.

Sue, you have a gorgeous smile. I bet you blind people with it all the time :).

Slow down there, champ. That was not what they were trying to say. At all. Merely that this is happening because the wife is unhappy, not that it's okay because the wife is unhappy. "No it is not wrong (for you to be pissed)"

For the first question about compliments... you have to understand something. A compliment from you feels wonderful, I'm sure, but in the back of her mind she's thinking "He's just saying that because he loves me." It's like getting told you're beautiful by your mother. Are you flattered? Sure. But it doesn't really have…

I say, eat if you're hungry. If you're not, don't. Some variation helps you in the long run, I believe.

I had a really bad Sunday and it's still haunting me. I ate boatloads more than I usually did. Of course my weight was up on Monday, so I didn't weigh myself today out of fear. We'll see what happens at tomorrow's check in. I'm scared :(. Please let it be 199 or under. Please, please, please. Good luck everyone.

I have done the exact same thing and I find it very effective! I sweeten my tea just a little to make it feel like a treat and it fills me up a bit AND hydrates me (and no, caffeine does NOT dehydrate you: http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=50654 ). If I'm drinking, I'm not eating. Personal rule of…

I don't have children, but I love to read about them psychologically and developmentally. One of my professors recommended this book and truly, it is wonderful. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0091923808?ie=UTF8&tag=ecochildsplay-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0091923808 Basically, your baby was…

The only things I consume every day are milk (Grass Point's 2%) and water.

I think it's really foolish of theaters to punish their customers for bringing in food. If it was a historic theatre and NO concessions were sold to keep the facilities cleaner, I would most certainly understand. But commercial theaters only get on people about food because that's where they make most of their money.…

My what a loving and supportive boyfriend you have there :/. He sounds like a heel. It also sounds like he's trying to sabotage you so you don't lose weight. I'm not at all trying to criticize you, but why do you put up with this treatment? My boyfriend doesn't care about losing weight, but he gladly eats everything I cook…
