I have a Polar ft7 & absolutely love it. Its easy to use, the strap is comfy & ive had no technical issues (not even needing new battery) since i had it for christmas. Wouldnt be without it now Hope that helps

i do bodypump once, sometimes twice, a week. I love it - the music, the group element & how it makes me ache the day afterwards. Cant say exactly what body difference it has made given i also do lots of cardio & im watching what i eat. According to my HRM i burn between 400-450 cals for a BP class. I enjoy it though so…

Ive got a Polar F7. I go by the calorie burn it gives me - which is up to 50% less than the stats on here for workouts.

ive got the polar Ft7 & love it... ive been burning between 210 & 250 on levels 1 & 2 of the 30DS

i use the count my HRM shows me for the exercise session as a whole. I dont deduct what i would normally burn if i was standing there doing nothing - i think thats what you mean. I dont wear it after exercise to take any count. So yesterday i did zumba for an hour & burnt 445 cals. I added that to my log & nothing more…

Go body Pump! - love it I enter mine as cardio.. i have a HRM & a 60 min class burns between 350-450 for me :)

i use the exact same machine at my gym & like you, programme it all correctly - weight etc etc I also got pretty much the same results as you, it shows me as burning about 400 cals for 30 minutes with a max heart rate of about 158, averaging 140 for the whole half hour. I got a HRM for xmas & the results are quite…

well it will differ from person to person.. depending on your fitness, how much you put in etc... According to my HRM, i burn between 500-600 for a 60 minute class Hope that helps :)

personal experience has shown me that the exercise cals earnt on here are over estimated.. by quite some way. I had a HRM for xmas & it shows me im actually burning only about half what i thought using MFP's counts... I swim a fair bit & this was an even bigger revelation for me.. HRM tells me im only burning roughly a…

strength training does burn calories.. even though on here it awards none for it. I do a body pump class which is strength training, very little cardio. I wear a HRM & though my heart rate doesnt go anywhere near as high as say a zumba class... it tells me i burn between 350-400 cals for the hour.

i do a zumba class & wear a HRM - I burn between 500-600. That wont be the same for everyone though.. depends on your weight, fitness level & how much effort you actually put in i guess. Hope that helps

im with you on this one. I detest running... im rubbish at running.. Not actually sure if its more wont than cant though. Ive tried to work my way up to running.. taking baby steps forward in time, speed & incline but once i get to the actual point of letting go & running... nope! - im done within 2 or 3 minutes. I just…

totally agree with the above. The only accurate way is with a HRM. Ive only been using one since christmas & the results are surprising.. even after reading several times how inaccurate the machines or stats on here are. I'm roughly only burning half the calories the machines or the figures given on here for different…

i donated recently too & lost a normal 2 pounds this week, so i don't think it made any difference to my weight loss. However, i've been donating for many years & this time i fainted, in a pretty dramatic fashion (much embarressment) - never done that before! Just hope it was a blip, not a nice experience

thats what i thought too & did the same x

Amazing!! Thank you for confirming what i already suspected was the truth. Its not all about what you weigh.. its more about how you look & most about how you feel. You go girl!
