Just bought my 2nd Garmin (loads of trouble with my FR210) now have a FR220. Would love support on Garmin Connect. I only run 10km events, which are tough enough for me :-) Garmin name TRISHNZ. Would love a Vivofit too...but have a Fitbit.

I am addicted to Special K fruit and nut. Love it! But I always measure the amount I have 50 grams. Its the chewy raisins that I love best.

Thanks - I do have a GPS watch so I know my pace outside which is about 1/2 a minute or more slower than the treadmill.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I did the C25K and the B210K. I have run a few 10km events, some non-stop but this year I just can't seem to do it!....maybe just getting older is the reason. I can't run much slower than I do really otherwise it would just be a fast walk. As most say I probably just have to run outside…

I am sorry but no suggestions except fruit should be perfect on its own. Maybe your tastebuds just have to learn to love the fruit. Not sure what you use but pineapple, kiwifruit, etc should add sweetness - if that's what you crave.

Sounds like its all good for you. At the end of the day or night - its calories in vs energy out, over a 24hr period or a week, however it works. So what ever works for you carry on doing it. If the weight is not dropping off, then think of changing something. I think the main thing is that you need to reduce food intake…

This is probably true.......you do need to log Everything! Exercise is important to health and wellbeing so start that....even walking daily helps. Most people overestimate the calorie burn from exercise so look at your food logging first.

If you are going to eat...start now so your body gets use to it. You don't want to do anything different on race day. I have not done such a long run but I would have something light - what you have suggested sounds perfect.

The bigger the better really - nice and wide track with a long belt. Buy the best you can afford - look for good second hand models as people buy them new and then don't use them and you can find a bargain.

No - a shame huh? I am similar height and weight tho older by the look of you. I found maintaining my goal weight hard and put on more weight. I started C25K last year and have completed now some 10k runs. I have only started to enjoy running since I changed from just running to training with fartleks (speed bursts).
