When I first started I read on another message board "if you want it you'll find a way, if not you'll find an excuse". It really helped to to not make any excuses & stick with it :)

Now? I tell then "no thank you" & they leave me alone lol When I first started? I would lie & say I'm pre-diabetic. Bad to lie like that, I know but people didn't question it :)

Zumba is my favorite! I do a lot of it at classes but when I'm at home and feel like doing it I have dvds too (my 4 year old loves to dance to it lol) Other favs are pilates, yoga (my daughter has her own mat & has had it since she was 2), running, kickboxing. There are so many reasons why you could have gained...sodium, not staying with in your calorie budget, muscle soreness (water retention), hormones, regularity, what time of day you weighed, etc. Weight loss is in no way a linear thing btw :)

First of all if you eat sushi with soy sauce you will have water retention & that shows up on the scale. Sometimes you have to focus on other things like measurements and put away the scale (that thing weighs bones, muscle, fat, waste, organs, water....everything!). I was an average sized kid & didn't get bigger until high school. So about half of my life as thin & half as an obese person. Losing weight is a huge mental game & no matter what you were before it comes down to how ready you are now.

I did WW for my first 60 pounds....loved it & it helped me get my act together lol I love this site! although I was calorie counting before I came here ;)

It doesn't ;) I eat around 1400 on my no exercise days and when I'm exercising/teaching classes I eat a little more (around 1600). If you are eating a big variety of healthy (no processed) then I think it's do-able if you are mostly stationary. I'm very active & the times I have tried 1200 made me really sluggish & funky.

I usually order a thin crust pizza with veggies & maybe chicken on it :) not too bad with calories & I get pizza! *drool* Homemade thin crust made with flat-out bread is pretty tasty too!

I work at a locally owned aerobic studio & as soon as I get certified as a personal trainer I'll be doing that on my own (& occasionally for the members at the studio) I'm couldn't work for a big corporation ever again.

It depends on which ones you can stick to :) I personally like anything from Ellen Barrett, hip hop abs, turbo jam, bellydancing, hooping, & Zumba dvd's (I teach fitness classes that have dance steps so have to do my research lol)

To get it to stop you may have to buy some sort of compression stuff. The most comfortable for me is the under armor capris & shorts. Kinda like finding the right sports bra ;)

I'm one of those that call it a lifestyle change because well....it's what I had to do ;) if it was just me changing what I ate I'd refer to it as a diet lol I still have people calling it "Tanee's little diet". More so, around holidays & family gatherings. Always said in some obnoxious tone :P

I'm all about eating the most calories you can & still lose weight :) 1400 is where I'm at right now. I've dipped down to 1200 and I just felt blah even eating very clean.
