  • I would also recommend a orthopedist. Depending on the bone & tissue & how much work it does bearing weight it can take awhile to heal correctly.. I had 2-3 different walking casts when my feet were injured. Remember the RICE (rest, ice, compression & elevation) Good luck & take it easy!
  • I second the he might not even know. The cost of good quality lean ground beef has gone up so much....I can't remember the last time I bought it. I've been using Jennie-O 93/7 ground turkey for about the past yr; the only real difference is in color. I've found that if you add some beef soup base or A-1 steak sauce or…
  • bump for later. Anyone have a good recipe for making oatmeal?
  • I agree Yogi's Sweet Chili pepper tea does warm you up. Also I like decaf teas the best. Celestial Seasonings has a tension tamer that is my fav & a new Honey Vanilla Chamomile (I've already gone through 2 boxes!) Celestial Seasonings & Bigelow has a few tea sampler boxes out there so you can try a few. I don't like…
  • My kids LOVE, LOVE frozen peas still frozen. They are a lot sweeter than when heated. I snack on them when I'm cooking. my go to snacks are popcorn with no butter, yogurt with frozen berries, apples. I'll be watching this thread for other suggestions
  • Hi, I'm Cheryl. I live in the Columbus area. I'm married with 2 kids (first grader & 4yo). I'm currently staying at home--or what I call stuck at home; we only have one car & the new school schedule makes it next to impossible to get DH to work on time. I haven't exercised in a L O N G time but am starting slow with some…
  • I'm also losing slow, but it IS hard when you see all the challenges like that. Glad to see others are in the same boat, hope it keeps me motivated
  • it sounds like your husband likes to compliment actions (you taking care of his mom) not looks (you losing weight & looking better) my family is the same way; I can't get a compliment to save my life; it;s always "It's good but I would of done it this way" DH also doesn't support me right now (he is threatened) but since I…
  • I agree, I'm still a newbie as well & just the photos are inspiring! Thanks for sharing

  • What is the name of the Champion bra? & does it run true to size? I was just researching this (38H that I am, just a brisk walk can hurt LOL) thanks!
  • I'm East side of Columbus & just saw on another thread that they hope to get pitbit & MFP linked in the next few weeks. Think I know what I'm asking for as my BIG christmas gift....a Fitbit of course!
  • With the thyroid meds it will take a week or two to notice a difference, so don't stop after a day or two if you don't notice anything yet. Also is it possible for your Dr to refer you to an Endo & see if they can get the appointment sooner?? (Sorry, also in the US, not sure how your health system works). The one book I…
  • Thanks! I'll be trying these tomorrow
  • I'm looking for some new oatmeal recipes & need to try this. but one question do you heat the oats up or eat them cold? I've soaked steel cut oats over night & then I I can just microwave them & it only takes a minute or two as opposed to the half hour or so if they weren't soaked.
  • Yes, I'm interested too. So where can you find coconut sugar?
  • I was told a half hour too, One time I was told 20minutes. I just don't want to chance it & I typically get so busy with the kids it turns into at least an hour before I eat & baby you better believe I have coffee (w/ milk or half & half) within a half hour of waking up. LOL I am NOT a morning person
  • I Live in Ohio & they are very strict when it comes to alternative medicine & what they will cover insurance wise. Typing up my story I realized how long it's been since I've been me AND my Endo called today & wants to LOWER MY DOSAGE. HELLO I can not stay awake in the afternoon to get my oldest off the bus, something is…
  • My thyroid is DEAD due to the RI I took. But my tissue is still there. I was in for 4 biopsies over a 2 yr span (The 2nd came back 'inconclusive') my Endo says that sometimes it's just a freak of nature. Your body has nothing better to do than attach a fluid pocket to some useless tissue (I asked if she could biopsy my…
  • Inspirational! keep up the good work!
  • Hi all, I was diagnosed in 2003 with hyperthyroid & was treated with Radioactive iodine; my Dr said I would probably go back to normal; I didn't I went hypo. I gained about 25lbs in 3 months, lost a lot of hair. & was finally put on Synthroid early 2004. And I still don't think it works right. I got pregnant with my first…
  • I'm silently screaming over here, I can't believe they would already have sugar in with the cream. I typically always get a double double. Since I can't go there without ordering a donut though, I haven't been lately. Plus the last time I got an iced coffee & I swear there was a half inch of sugar on the bottom. YUCK!!! &…
  • Glad to know I'm not the only one that thought she was too giddy. I just got the 5 Day Slim Down & I only did the Day 1 Classic walk which is a 14minute mile but I really liked it; I just wish I was in shape to do more
  • I found that site last week too & you are right that list A LOT
  • Oh my Gosh! You can totally tell your face is a different shape & your stomach...I'm jealous of your stomach LOL great job!
  • Look at those guns! GREAT JOB!!!!
  • I binge eat out of boredom (watching my shows after the kids are in bed, I can kill a bag of peanut M&M's) I have found it helpful to not have the food in the house, or I have months of if it's on top of the fridge or in back of the cabinet I can forget about it & then **** happens & I will stress eat & my stress eating is…
