Don't bring leftovers home from big family meals! If you're cooking, send them home with other people. That way you can indulge a little on the actual holiday and aren't tempted to finish off the leftovers in the days following the holidays. Good luck!

Go for it! Wear whatever makes you feel good!

I remember someone once telling me about a low cal pumpkin dessert they made using sugar free pudding and canned pumpkin. I don't have the exact recipe, but you might be able to find something like that online.

I just don't get how anyone can survive on 500 calories per day without destroying their metabolism. Not to mention that a diet of melba toast and a few other things every single day sounds incredibly boring. I think I'd blow it and binge if I were restircted to that kind of diet.

Wow! Thanks so much for all of the great suggestions!!! I'm definately going to incorporate some of these.

LOL. So true!

I don't necessarily agree with everyone else... I have had some great close male friends with whom there was a physical attraction but because the friendship meant so much to me I didn't want to risk losing it by seeing what else was there.... In the end though, no matter the reason for the "no", it is still a "no, I don't…

I've heard that too and I'd like to know the answer as well. I actually have a harder time maintaining a lower heart rate than I do just letting myself go at whatever rate feels good.

The gym treadmill said that I burned more calories than MFP, but the gym elliptical trainer said that I burned less than MFP. I see how you got the 73%, but thew differences are going opposite directions. Anyway, I think I'm going to have to get an HRM so that on the days that I do eat my workout calories, I am not over…

Awesome! Thanks for the tps everyone!

I have an HRM watch. I can use that to monitor my HR during a workout, but I havent discovered if it has a calories burned function. I'll have to check that out. If it doesnt, is there an HRM that you would reccomend that does?

. They are actually based on your specific weight. I tested this by entering a different weight for myself and then entering the same 30 minute elliptical workout. I would love to just override it with what the gym says, but I do most of my workouts at home on an elliptical trainer that doesn't calculate that. Thanks for…

I usually get a footlong turkey on 9-grain and eat half of it for lunch and save the other have for dinner or for lunch the next day. Turkey, NO cheese, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, banana peppers, vinegar, and mustard. No mayo, no oil, no cheese. It works out to about 270 calories per 6 inch half.

I'm constantly eating, staying under my MFP calorie reccomendation, but constantly eating. Stuff like apples, berries, raw fresh veggies, nonfat greek yogurt, chicken. I'm able to keep my calories under or at 1200 doing this and I'm never hungry since I've always got a snack sitting rigt next to me or in my purse. I always…

I'm making sure to keep a lot of fresh veggies and fruit around at home and at work so I can snack on those when I get hungry. Rasberries, strawberries, apples, carrots, and cucumbers are a few of my favorites. I've also been adding a few minutes to my workout every few days. Of course, I can't keep adding indefinately…
