 If I had your body I would definately wear a bikini!!

Don't let that get you down. If you are staying within calorie goals and exercising, the loss will catch up with you. I am a horribly slow loser (and extremely fast gainer!) and I have let the number on the scale completely sabatoge my efforts because the number doesn't show what wanted to see. However, stick with it. I…

I do this and send it through my blender and it is a wonderful alternative!! Yum!

LOVE eggplant! I take the entire thing (skin and all) and either stick it on the grill and cook it until the skin is black (it's best if you can get it to stand up as long as possible while cooking. OR -- I also stick it on my gas burning stove and stand it up and cook it right on the stove (warning - the water drains from…

So sorry you are going through such a hard time. You have to be strong for your kids -- stand up, brush yourself off and push forward. You can do it and you will come out OK! Not sure where you live, but if they do fire you, you can file unemployment so you will have a little bit of money coming in. Also if you have any…

I bought this last week and plan to open it today! Glad to hear people have seen results with it! Hope I am one of them!

I also do this with my 6-yr old -- he LOVES smoothies and doesn't matter what I put in them!

My 6-yr old is a great eater -- loves everything, including veggies, etc. My biggest issue is he also loves junk food and when he gets home from school that is the first thing he goes for. I offer him healthy choices but he heads right to the pantry. Granted, others will say "don't buy the crap" but I do not-- my SPOUSE…

That's fabulous and wow -- 40 pounds!! You can really see the difference in your pics! Good job!

I like to use the Mission Carb Control tortillas and then mash up avocado and lettuce, cheese -- whatever you want (could even use black beans?) and roll them up. I wrap them in foil the night before and they make a great lunch.

I wouldn't take it personal -- just a personal choice she has in what she eats and it clearly wasn't banana's! lol
-
Me either. I mean, I know some women who are muscular and look fabulous -- but to me that is just over kill. And the 2nd picture is just flat out disgusting.

Nice blog, thanks for the tips! Alot of them I am doing so it's good to see I'm not totally off base!! Some of them I need to fine tune a bit more!!

I have also talked myself out of a binge my "allowing" myself to have a diet coke! It actually has helped me talk myself down off a binge.

I do too. What I have found that is helping me is to try to stop in that moment and think of a factor that triggered it -- I usually find it's I'm frustrated with my husband, work, or something else that has triggered an emotion. For me, this has kind of helped and even stopped me in my tracks sometimes because I'm…

Ugh! I totally blew off this past weekend and the scale soooo showed it this morning! Being Prepared is probably the number 1 most important thing to me for staying on track on the weekends and also pre-planning my meals.

I like to use it on a Mission carb control tortilla -- I mash it all up and spread it on the tortilla with some lean/lower sodium deli chicken breast and make roll ups with it. I also like to make what I call "fake" sushi with it -- I mash it up, spread it on sushi paper, and then add either cucumbers, carrots, and/or…

I'm in DFW - grew up here and have lived in Wichita Falls, Houston, Corpus Christi and DFW.

This morning I made the most delicious breakfast using a Mission carb control tortilla, spread 2 T of spreadable goat cheese, then I cooked 2 slices of red onion in a little almond oil (canola or olive works fine) and added 3T of egg beaters and added that to my tortilla, rolled it up and it was sooooo delicious and…

One thing I do that helps a lot is to have my days worth of food written down. I also started drinking a lot of green tea with honey and lemon and that is helping.

You look great! Congratuations - your hard work is paying off!
-
Ha - mine too! Not only does he eat whatever he wants, he goes out drinking with his buddies all the time. Grrrrr.
-
what do you crave? I get "sweet" cravings nightly too and have found that by allowing myself a treat of 1 or 2 T of almond butter, that satisfies me. They even have a dark chocolate almond butter that is like treating yourself to chocolate! And almond butter is very good for you!
-
That is so awesome! Congratulations- you look wonderful and happy! Keep it up - you are a motivation to all of us!

I watch my intake carefully but don't find myself snubbing what others are eating because they may not have the weight struggles I do and may be perfectly healthy. Also, that may be the 1 time they are eating out of the norm for them too -- to each his/her own!

Subway oven roasted chicken salads -- I LOVE these -- and get them loaded with all the veggies, omit the cheese and then ask for my dressing on the side. An entire salad has less than 300 calories (without dressing). this is actually my Friday "treat" of dining out at lunch!
-
LOVE Chipotle! You can order a "bowl" and make them like a divine salad! And they are so big that 1 "bowl" is actually 2 meals!

3 kids. Daugher 23, Son 19, and Son 5. Two of them OUT of the house and 1 more to go!!

I love the Just for One singles (cauliflower/cheese or brocoli and cheese) by Green Giant. Pop in the microwave adn they are done!

Hang in there!! I have a lot to lose -- 80 lbs! I hovered around the same weight for about 2 months before the scale finally started moving. It was frustrating and there were days I caved and fell off plan, but for the most part, I just kept plugging in -- same calories, exercise, and staying on track and them I seemed to…
