I've just discovered the shirataki noodles myself. This sounds wonderful. Had no idea you could dry fry them!! For those who don't know where to go -- I get mine at a local health food type grocery store. They come in a baggie, in liquid, and are in the refrigerated stuff by the hot dogs, etc. Very inexpensive - less than…

I measure everything at home too and pack my bkfst/lunch for the next day. But I'm one of those "it's all or nothing" type people. If I don't measure, I feel like I'm off plan for some reason. Then, when I get to where I feel like I'm "off plan", I tend to throw in the towel! So measuring keeps me honest! The funny thing…

I had horrible cravings and late night binges until I started cutting all the processed carbs out of my diet. The cravings and binges are almost completely gone. Initially, I had to be tough and cut all carbs for about 2 weeks (this meant fruits too). Once I "detoxed" off carbs, I slowly added the good ones back in,…

Yum I haven't seen those -- I have only seen (and purchased) the strawberry.

Yes! these are pretty good, lite, crunchy and tasty! they are great to keep at work if you have a craving and they are not bad calorie wise either. I get them at Sam's for about $7 and you get 4 boxes of them.

I've been tossing some walnuts in mine with a dash of paprika, dill weed and salt. Sounds gross, but it's actually kind of tasty!!

Wow really?? Cause I'm the one who puts on the most comfortable thing I have and that is usually my cotton, stretch capris that have paint all over them!! And I don't give a darn what anyone thinks of it, nor do I care what anyone else has on! I'm there to work out and get healthy and comfort is key!!

Growing up, my grandmother from the east coast used to bring pickled cow tongue. They were like some sort of delicacy! now I gag just thinking about it!

I love the chicken apple sausages from Sam's. They are very good and pretty healthy. I love that they have an oh-so faint sweet taste and they stay juicy when you cook them. MMMMMM!

That is fantastic! What an incredible journey - you should be soooo proud!!!

I agree. I have been eating eggs for 40 years - usually every day I have 1, sometimes 2. Yolk and all. I have extremely good blood values as far as cholesterol -- both good and bad -- and my triglycerides have always been perfect. There is so much bad reports about eggs which are now being de-bunked by new research. It…

I have a glass ....sometimes 2 every evening. For 80 calories, I think the health benefits are worth it. Not just from the wine, but by having a glass of wine in the evenings while watching my shows, it curbs my snack eating in the evenings. I'll give up a cheese stick before I'll give up my glass of red wine!

Love it!!

greek yogurt is much thicker, creamier. Also when I first tried it, I did not like it but now love it. I use the plain greek yogurt. I mix in garlic salt, paprika and dill weed for a good veggie dip. I also mix in almond butter for a creamy, rich dessert type snack. It's great as a substitute for sour cream too.

Wow! That's fabulous!

I make butter chicken at home and it is usually made with heavy cream --lots of it! An alternate is to use 1/2 n 1/2 or a bit of milk but yeah, restraunts are going to use the cream!

I would suggest tandoori chicken (similarily it may be called Chicken Tiki). Very good, and not much fat. They use skinless chicken and it's marinated in yogurt and spices. One of my favorites! My DH is from India and my mother-in-law lives with us and cookes Indian food daily. Most Indian food is very healthy - -minus the…

Wow that's awesome - you look fabulous! I actually remember when you put your pic up originally before your loss!

I tried the "generic" miracle noodles last week and really liked them and they taste pretty much like pasta so combined with some homemade tomato soup and meatballs, they made a delicious spagetti and they are cheap. Found them in the health food store in the refridgerated section for just over $1 a bag. 1 bag feeds 2

I am a saltaholic and when I initially track:noway -- not even counting the shaker salt, I was hitting 5,000-6,000 mgs a day! Talk about heart attack awaiting!! I also have high blood pressure and take meds for that!! :noway: Anyhow, As much as I try and try to keep it under 2,500 (again, not even counting the salt…

I mix up some greek yogurt with paprika, garlic salt and dill weed and use as a veggie dip. It tastes like a very rich, fattening dip and is far from it!! I also like to make flax seed meatballs - they are very good. You can use turkey or lean ground beef, mix in some chopped onion, salt & pepper, cilantro, apple, --…

I also have a lot of weight to lose -- 90 pounds. I come from a family of addicitions -- my mother was an alcoholic who lost her battle at the age of 49. My father was a compulsive overeater and an extremely obese man who also lost his battle at age 49 (he died first and she died 1 year and 1 month to the day). Having so…

I have set my mini goals for things like a manicure, pedicure, new bra (Victoria Secrets), $100 shopping trip just for me!!

I was the same way and then I got serious and started logging every single crumb that i put in my mouth. I also began moving and tracking that and when you see how much you have to work out to burn off those calories, that really woke me up!! One thing that is working good for me is that I made very small goals - first 5…

I absolutely agree. I have done a lot of research on the blood type diet (you can search and get a lot of info on the web about this) and if you read about your specific blood type, it makes complete sense. It goes back to the early days when humans were hunters and gatherers. When I eat grains, whole wheat, and other…
