What? Why do you think it has boosted your metabolism?

It's gotta be someone relatively young... she's 47.

Stop tracking sugar and then it won't stress you so much. I didn't track sugars and it certainly didn't affect my weight loss. I also eat a lot of fruit, with milk, and a spoon of white sugar, sometimes multiple times per day in season. Never hurt me.

Hospital administrators would not be stepping in in an emergency. Did you know that there is an actual degree program in Hospital Administration? My guess is no. It is often a specialized Masters of Business Administration. They aren't doctors. They deal with finances, personnel, community relations etc. They are a…

If what you're doing has been working, then hang in there! Sometimes the road gets rough, but it's worth it. Have you recalculated your goals for your current weight recently?
-
Actually the 'general rule' is to NET 1200 calories. If you're using a food scale and logging accurately, you should be eating most of those calories back. Over time, calculate your rate of loss and adjust accordingly, keeping in mind that if you selected a 2 lb loss, 1200 calories is the minimum MFP will allow, even if…

Uhh, I don't think she is advising patients lmao... she's an administrator.
-
Be patient and if it persists, tighten up your logging by using a food scale and checking to make sure your database items are accurate, activity level settings are accurate, etc.
-
I think that's pretty much where we're at, yup. Instead of hearing 'sustainable deficit, sustainable diet, accurate calorie control', OP hears: Y'all hate IF'ers.
-
How about a legitimate source? Because I googled it and found that it was proposed by one single doctor back in 1930, with no studies to back it up.
-
In case anyone missed it, this is a dinosaur post, a year old. @GenieBeanieChiliBeanie If you click on the OP's name, it shows that she hasn't logged in since last June, so I wouldn't count on a response.

This is so wrong I don't even know where to start.

From bodybuilding.c... No thanks.

Read this: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1161603/so-you-want-a-nice-stomach#latest Use a food scale, eat at a deficit, and it will improve. You can't spot reduce. Ab training will give you definition for when the fat is gone, but won't help you lose the fat in the first place. Drink when you're thirsty.…

Your best bet is probably to use a blend. I don't know what the fibre content is, but you could try a blend from here: http://glutenfreeonashoestring.com/all-purpose-gluten-free-flour-recipes/ or buy cup for cup. My personal preference is to go for a decent gf bread regardless of fibre, and to get that from other sources…

You need to take a look at the nutrition info for the items you logged, and figure out which of them are wrong. It's important to verify that you are choosing an accurate database item.

You are not skinny fat. You're slim. If you've lost 50 pounds, it may take some time to adjust, and truly 'see' yourself for the size you are now. There are some benefits to strength training you could consider, such as bone health and lean mass gives you more daily calories, but unless you were doing a lot, you probably…

@usmcmp sounds good! I'll have to make it, and if it goes over well with the kids, I'll make it in bulk for the freezer. Always good to have extra meals for my athletes who commonly want a second lunch, or a second supper on the way to bed :D

You're 'eating freely' on your non-fast days? This could completely eliminate your weekly deficit. Also, is this really how you want to continue eating for the rest of your life? Learn to eat in a way that you will be able to maintain at your goal weight. And use a food scale! and log everything, fast days or not. If…

I would love the recipe for that!

Please let's not drag 'addiction' into what is a good and helpful post.

That was when I was thinking, too.

I think that might have been right after the switch?

Perhaps going forward you could try moderation instead. Learn to lose in the same way that you will want to maintain. People need to pick a diet that suits them and what they are willing to do for the rest of their lives.

Excellent post. This is why for some people who are struggling, I suggest keeping a journal, or using the notes section of your food diary, to keep track of things like sleep, mood, boredom, external factors, stress, etc.

Glad you liked them! They are one of our favourite veggies.

Welcome, Annie! MFP totally works. I'd recommend starting here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10257474/starting-out-restarting-basics-inside#latest

To me it doesn't look that bad. If she's not using a food scale, it's impossible to say.

A few points: 1, it sounds like you've been losing, and just had a brief blip where the scale went up? Weight loss is not linear. A brief jump could be food passing through your digestive tract, water retention from a high sodium meal, time of month, etc etc.…
