  • My advice is to just keep logging all your food and exercise - blow off your diet if the mood strikes you BUT keep a record. This way you can make really informed decisions for next time you visit. Sometimes keeping a record will really open your eyes to how many calories some things REALLY have, you might just start…
  • Reading the article it didn't seem like an excessive amount of food - 12 pieces plus 8 to go? 20 pieces total - not a big deal. Depends on the size of the fish, which isn't given. But anywho - I was in America in April and we went to a few buffets in LA and they all had clear printed signs basically saying 'no spending the…
  • I live in Wynnum. :D Which is not only SE QLD but SE Brisbane. lol.
  • I've seen them for sale (who hasn't) and I thought 'what a scam' They are a scam - there is currently a class action being pursued due to injuries sustained from wearing these shoes. Steer clear, there are no short cuts to a hot body.
  • 1. I am on my 2nd marriage - my husband is literally the only guy I dated after I separated from my first husband. 2. I was 40kgs from the age of 15 - 23 and then again for the 6 months I was single at age 25. Living with someone makes me gain weight. 3. My father was a diagnosed psychopath who was in and out of prison his…
  • I'm in Australia and have used Optislim and Optifast with success before (I used to buy whichever was on special) - I only drink the chocolate ones and they are yummy but they are NOT filling... Meal replacement is hard to stick with but it gives great results to those that do. :)
  • Hi, how long did it take? I don't really have any advice - as I notice every inch and it never seems fast enough! But a big congratulations is in order! Yay!
  • I am not a dr or health/ weightloss professional at all, but I am extremely wary of people who say 'you need to eat more to lose' It's a numbers game - and frankly if you listen to your body you'll know the answer. I always know when I'm losing weight - I can feel it - seriously. Listen to your body. Count calories, be…
  • I think the problem is more widespread but not everyone 'hates' themselves for it. For some people it has the opposite effect - it makes them feel better. There is another thread here that I found so interesting - people who are adding food to the database with ridiculously low calorie counts. It's a version of the 'lying'…
  • That's so great, I have always wanted to be able to run. One day I'd love to enter and finish the NYC marathon (50kms) but I can't even do the 5k like you. I bow before you xxx you're awesome.
  • My advice is to learn to answer back. This is based on personal experience, I am a really shy person and people can sense my vulnerability - I have been heckled in public many, many times. It sucks majorly. No, I mean it REALLY, REALLY SUCKS. Answering back is the best idea I ever had - because the people that do it are…
  • Brisbane Qld here! :D
  • Wow this has a lot of posts. I am 5' 1 too. I don't know what I am in lbs. I once weighed myself at Ripleys in Hollywood and was 118lbs. I was 50kgs - but I'd love to be back to 40kgs (pipe dream) I am currently 47kgs and have a double chin, love handles and a pooch. sigh. I have no set goal weight - just want the pooch…
  • It would take all day to list the things I HAVE to eat if they are in the house, so I['ll tell you what I never touch. Soft drink (soda) I've always disliked it. I am grateful about this. Cordial. Hmm, that's it. Everything else gets stuffed in if it's around. My friends always comment that we have 'no food' - it's not…
  • Yeah - it's just a guess - she has it laid out perfectly but that can be as simple as just clicking on the one that 'seems right' in the list they provide on this site - if you know what I mean? Anyway, I was just throwing it out there. :)
  • My best guess -- plain and simple - you're UNDERESTIMATING your calories. When adding food to your diary never underestimate, always overestimate if you're unsure. It is a classic dieters error - overestimating exercise and underestimating cals.
  • Yes - big time. People do this to you because they don't know what else to say, it's as if the only conversation about weight/ working out needs to focus on something being 'wrong' with you. So if you're too heavy you'll cop the 'You need to lose' speech. As soon as you start working on it you'll cop the 'You've lost…
  • 7kgs - don't know how many lb's that is?
  • Thank you for posting this, it is a very interesting question.
  • Well, I would lose weight because I wouldn't be able to eat any of those. Yuck.
