Yep, so I haven't weeded half my beds yet! I took a weedeater to one part and buzzed down all the tall stuff  p.s. I've got to root against you & the 48 (my brother-in-law works for RCR)

I did my upper body lifting today and feel like jello. Hmm, jello. I think I have some in the fridge... that sounds good. SORRY! Only problem with good workouts is a good appetite. I've just eaten half a cantaloupe, a cluster of grapes, and my husband made beef & potato soup (really good & perfect combo of protein…

Mary, you're too cute! I like pictures that mean something.... even if the rest of the world knows not the significance! So I said I was going to kick June off with a vengance and I did. Last night about 10:30 I decided to get off my butt and do the gazelle. I thought, o.k. 30 min. I can do it. Then I came across Fielene's…

Did you stick it out? When that happens, go exercise. Do some push-ups or crunches; by doing something it will take your mind off the food. And maybe make mom feel a little guilty

Um, yeah the bike is cool, but did anyone else notice how little Mary is getting?!?!?! I personally like the back-walkover pic! V- Fibro-schmibro, you can do it girl. Don't let that excuse (although very valid) to lay motionless win! You go get-em :drinker: WL- My vote is for home makeover, 'cause isn't Ty an exercise nut?…

Julie, This is the point of this site. We are here to help you get through the rough times. I had a bad call with my mom mid-week and fell off the wagon. Normally my emotions would dictate the type of food & how many bottoms of the bags I would see. I surprised myself with control and only cheated a tiny bit. After a few…

Rather than an object, DO something. We are going to a minor league baseball game: box tickets are under $10! I have previously renewed his fishing license & planned a guys day out (husband with my brother in law) so he had to use his fishing stuff, and had a family barbeque. If money is tight, make it a pot-luck. It's…

Alright, I was depressed for two days and am now over my mom. Didn't help the timing coincided with my most emotional week as well :grumble: Tomorrow is a new day and a new month. I am going to do at least a half-hour on the gazelle here in a bit to kick it off on the right foot. My husband and I are watching a world class…

I need to vent. This morning I called and invited my mom to my pageant in August. She said, "I jdon't think I'm up to it, That's just not where I am at anymore". She used to take me to all my pageants when I was a teenager, I always raised the sponsorship so it never cost my family a penny, and it helped pay for college.…

I survived my hour in the weight room and got in 3 x 1 mile runs with a walking recovery lap between & cool down for 4 miles total. I did lower body weights and had jello legs by the time I finished my run, so hills will have to wait for tomorrow!

Hope everyone had a great long weekend. It was nice to spend time with my family and have no where to be! I'm off to kill myself in the weight room, on the track, then doing some hill repeats. I'll check back in if I survive. I posted an updated pic on my profile. Not much change so I've got to fuel the fire and…

I had a couple small cheats over several days, so I'm right there in the boat with the rest of you! Daycare was closed today, so I didn't get in my normal workout, rather chased a two-year old all day! I'm getting ready to do the gazelle for 45 min to balance out my cals for today (not sure how to count child care, so I…

Ugh, spent the day doing odds & ends and have yet to workout. My husband and I did get about 8 tomato plants in today. Need to finish the rest of the garden this weekend. Last year was a trial that was successful, so we're adding to it this year!

You guys are off and running! I'm sore from my hill repeats yesterday, but not as bad as I thought. I guess they need to be a regular part of my routine. Lower body and some more cardio today. I have no appetitie for some reason today, so I'm taking advantage and eating small portions. That's always a good thing. Happy…

I'm doing the US challenge. :drinker: Upper body: bench press (free weight fly superset) lat pull down (tricep superset) row machine (bent over freeweight row superset) curls with bar (free weight curls) criss cross (free weight shoulder abd/flex superset) the last one is where you stick the bar from the bench press into…

Welcome to the new members. You're about to make some amazing, supportive, optimistic friends here! :flowerforyou: Did upper body lifting and still felt too energized. So I tackled a hill behind the gym. that's about 30 meters long: 3 x 10 repeats. I jogged the first & last, walked the middle set. My butt is on fire!…

:drinker: hooray for all of you! Way to go! I did my lower body plus the bike this morning. I am starting over. No more excuses, no more re- anything. Today is a new day. Today starts a new challenge. 1. 8-waters (been slipping here) 2. more sex per my husband! What the heck, sounds like a good challenge to me! 3. 145 lbs…

Amazing Friday! I spent an hour in the weight room and 20 min on bike. I don't usually do cardio on the same days as lifting for the body for life program, so that was "extra". I had an epiphany last night that my pageant is a little over 3 months away and I am not ready to strut my stuff in a swimsuit on stage. So, here…

Let's try this again. Since getting back on track last week, I got incredibly sick. Spent Mother's Day on the couch trying to not pass out. I think I was so dehydrated from all the decongestants that I made myself that ill. At least it was "my" day, so I didn't feel guilty! I've been battling the chest crud but able to…

Sorry, I got into a crazy de-cluttering mode at work and lost track of the day. I finally unearthed my desk from about three years worth of kids assignments & tests! Now if I can find my house. Anyone looking for extra cleaning calories this week is welcome to stop by! I did my upper body workout today and am…

Sorry I've been too busy to get on the site. I partied at my college roomies wedding this weekend only to have monthly bloat so I haven't measured (figured it'd be to discouraging). Still here though!

I'm back! Sorry for disappearing, I missed you guys so much! :flowerforyou: Mary e-mailed me asking if I was o.k. I have just been so busy the past two-three weeks that I have not had time to get on the site let alone workout. But, I was cautious with my diet and consider it a maintenance test. I passed! My lovely 3lb gain…

Had a great upper body session in the weight room. Then did a couple miles on the track. Tomorrow is interval day... and my lil one's second birthday! Yipee

Lickalane, you may be surprised to find out a lot of the numbers are pretty accurate. Several posts have been done with people comparing their heart rate monitors to the MFP estimates... You're doing better than you thought! Also, the bigger you are, the more calories you will burn. So, they may be under-estimated…

add 1-200 calories and see if that makes a difference. I was at a point where I was balancing out at 1200 cal/day including exercise cals, and was a zombie. I added gradually until I felt better and started losing weight again. I'm averaging 1400 cals now, feel great & am losing.

I've got your back Vivakay; Here is my medically very sound advice; yes, you may drain the blister (from an athletic trainer). Sterilize a sewing needle or straight pin under fire, then wipe down with rubbing alcohol. Let it cool before using it (not to sound insulting, but you'd be surprised how many people forget it's…

No change for me; not a good week last week as I had to work crazy hours and only got in two workouts all week. Maybe next week!
-
Jenn, write as long a post as you want. That's what we're here for, that's what you're here for! I know I wouldn't be where I am now without a LOT of support from these ladies! :flowerforyou: I'm two for two this week. I pushed pretty hard on the weight yesterday & am sore today. Not as bad as the first week, but the kind…

I'm back. I need to get on here more. I only got in two lifting sessions last week with the chaos of conference tournaments for all of our spring sports. I spent a lot of time walking/standing rather than sitting though and discovered the grilled chicken wraps at Wendy's & McDonalds are good  Even without working…

I think this is why MFP is so successful. The problem for most of us, definitely for me, is portions! You can still indulge in some of the higher calorie foods, but truly enjoy 2 or 3 bites rather than the entire thing. I'm going to Outback for dinner tonight. I haven't been there in probably 1-2 years. I already know I…
