We've been leaning towards high end models as we like to know that the equipment will last. We are not opposed to spending a few grand. The Yowza brand has receive great reviews and has great features, but I don't like to buy something I can't get on and mess with first. Life Fitness was another brand we have been looking…

Did your fitbit come in contact with alot of sweat - like dripping sweat? My display burned out, but the thing still worked fine otherwise. Mine I had worn on my exercise bra and really got immersed. I put it in rice over night twice. I e-mailed fitbit themselves with help and they told me to also put the fitbit back on…

Anything with anise or cilantro in it. Liver, sour flavored soups, goose or duck, beets, and bitter drinks.

A car tire which must have been around my waist and hips!

Put a sign on your desk that says 'Please don't feed the animal". :flowerforyou: Perhaps this woman is your will power check and your NSV each day. You win each morning when you tell her, 'that looks good, but I will pass, thank you'.

Typically you should increase your weight when you can do all the sets and reps and not 'feel the burn' on the last set and rep anymore. If they feel like they are easy and not giving you a challenge, increase the weight.

I'll be doing something like this after I finish this round of Insanity. i did 2 rounds of P90X and now 1 round of Insanity. Both gave me results, but I need to change it up this next time. I still have some work to do both in toning and body fat. Muscle and fat weigh the same, but I sure like the fact that muscle takes up…

Lisa Rinna. There is an awesome picture of her on the internet where she is walking out of the surf in a pink and white bikini. I printed out that picture for my inspiration. http://www.bittenandbound.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/full_lisa_rinna_06_wenn2520347.jpg

If I went that direction, sure!

Used to be P90X Plyo, but now that I'm doing Insanity, any of the circuit routines would be my pick. I'd like to try the P90X plyo again after I'm done with Insanity and see how I do now!!

Hip bones, I so missed them! Welcome back!! There is a longish lump that travels sort of over them that I had never noticed before. It turns out that with all this hard work I've been doing, that my obliques and my hip flexors do exist!!!

I have 2 1/2 weeks left of my round 1. I hope I will see a difference like you did! Fantastic for sticking with it! It's a killer of a workout and you look fabulous!

I found the P90Xerecise calculation site to be very generous. I was using that in the beginning and then got an HRM. I was overestimating cal burn by about 200 or so. My husbands HRM put him at about 650 cals burned for the Chest and Back workout only. His Abs burn was around 150-170.

I try like crazy to track on the weekends. I tend to fill it in the next day. I do however keep aware of what I am eating on the weekends. So far my messy way of tracking on and off hasn't hurt the scale. Week days are so much easier. Like another poster said, you are in front of your computer all day.

The 1220 is just to stay alive and that is already calcaluted with the mind that you want to lose weight so you need to eat that no matter what. Now if you are burning all those calories and not eating them back, you are taking calories away from what you need to stay alive. Some still lose weight doing this, but IMO it's…

My husband and I work out together mostly in the morning. We usually push each other, but on those days when neither one of us pushes, we bail on the work out. Thankfully that doesn't happen often. We have done 2 rounds of P90X together and have now started Insanity. I don't think it's a competition at all when we work…

... I am at a plateau and I know that if I stick with this, I'll start losing weight again.

Flip flops the worse thing for you. The pain in your arch.... put your thumb in your arch, position it toward your heel and press back into your heel. Does it hurt like a Mo Fo? If so, you have developed Plantar Fasciitis. You will need good arch supports and alot of stretching. I had them in both feet and I had to wrap my…

I agree with everyone about getting shoes that are made for running and are fitted for you. Well worth the $$. Also, you could consider getting the ankle support wraps that are made by ACE or similiar companies. Just some added support could help as long as you are not feeling any grinding in the joint. Best advice is a…

I have the Sketchers GoRun that are for the mid foot strike and I love them!

For the first time in my life I can say that this is all for me. If others benefit from it, then that is a bonus.

I have been taking a self appointed recovery break for the last 2 weeks and I am totally stir crazy. I need to lift badly, I need to move and parts of me still need some time to heal. ARGH!!!

I probably shouldn't be in this group as I am not going to be that hard core 3 x 3 max weight lifting person. I'm lifting to get svelt. I like that word, svelt. I do however love reading everyones results and the massive amount of weight you can lift. Holy crap!!

Plan on buying heavier dumbbells soon after you start. You will find that 5-8 pounds will stop being a challenge and if you can do 15 reps easily, you need to increase your weights. If you want to plan or purchase dumbbells now, I'd say get them up to 25# for now. i.e. I curl 20#, triceps 12-15# and do back…

I eat 5 times a day. If my lunch is bigger than my afternoon snack isn't eaten.

Sales. I sit alot at a desk, in a hotel or in a car. I do work out 4-6 times a week and I factor that in for my cals.
-
Oh funny ideas come to mind: Clench and unclench your butt muscles If you can somehow do a chair pose, you will still look like you are sitting If you have arms on your chair and no one can see you. Push yourself up with a hand on each arm using only your triceps.

I actually think I am the opposite of you! My confidence is way up now, so I don't hide as much. The closer I get to my goal, I feel taller, if that makes sense. Perhaps you need to fight your way to middle ground for now. Laugh girl, it's still good for you!

I don't, but I sure would be interested. Perhaps there is something on the web! Let's Google it!
