I used this website to estimate my calories prior to buying a HRM and turned out that this website SEVERELY OVERESTIMATED my burns & I keep it high impact! I usually burn 500-600 as well.

I am VERY pro strength training but I exercise because a) I love it and b) I want to be HEALTHY and FIT. So I'm a big advocate of doing a combination of both. I tend to do HIIT and weights. It's awesome my resting heart rate is in the 50s and I am still increasing my lean muscle mass.

My spike or "cheat" day is usually Saturday. I eat close to or more than 3000 calories and two days later I lose another pound. I've had a spike day since the first day I started on MFP. I've lost 25 pounds and counting.

Have you heard of Jamie Eason's Livefit? It's free and shows you what you need to do everyday. Some people don't like it but I think it's a great place to start. EAT! Simple as that ;) I was actually reading about studies that have been conducted regarding eating late & weight gain and researchers concluded that there is no actual scientific evidence to suggest such causation! In other words it's a myth, it's not HOW LATE you eat but rather how many calories you eat so eat up!
