Bump to post on later when I lose some more!

I have a BF scale, a caliper and they tested mine at Curves..however they all say different things : \ So I just go with the highest number lol

We learned in Foodsafe that most molds you can SEE won't be harmful to you. They may taste horrific but aren't going to kill you, no :P It's the bacteria etc you can't see that's bad, like salmonella on meat, eggs etc.

This sounds VERY similar to me. My first mini-goal is also to see one-thirty-anything on the scale haha. My body fat now is about 28% and I'd love to get to 20% but low 20's would be just fine!
-
Thanks guys - seems my goal is pretty reasonable then. I'd like to get to 20% BF, I'm not sure what weight that would make me but I think probably closer to 120. However these feel like lofty goals to me at the moment since I know from experience how hard it is for me to get under 130!

I love the naturally tanned, sun-kissed look. I think it makes you look much healthier and more vibrant. I've never gone to a tanning salon, but I love how I look in the summer when I'm outside at the beach lots and have that nice glow!

Breakfast was a fried egg, two slices of turkey bacon, and a sprouted grain toast with peanut butter. Trying to eat more protein/fats for breakfast to keep me going longer!
-
Makes sense - do what works best for you! Personally, I almost always eat mine, even if I only burned 200-300. Reason being that I am ALWAYS hungry enough to eat all of them, and on days I don't exercise I find it extremely hard to stay under. This is great motivation to exercise..because I know if I don't earn some extra…

Skinnytaste.com has a whole section on lower-calorie pumpkin treats for Thanksgiving: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2007/07/skinny-pumpkin-madness.html I am going to try making their pumpkin spice latte! On another note, we've already had Thanksgiving in Canada (Oct 10), so I'm glad I joined MFP after it was over :P I'm…

Great ideas, thanks guys! I will definitely bookmark this recipe to try out later when I have more time as well.

Well I found out that the seller gets his HRM's at wholesale from a warehouse, and sometimes the packages are opened. He mailed a bunch of them out to buyers and afterwards found an extra stap and didn't know which package it fell out of. So he is mailing it to me, yay! Feels like I have waited years to get this HRM though…
-
Yes I wrote him a nice polite email. Will give him the benefit of the doubt until I hear what he has to say!

The replacement straps are $30 on Amazon.ca. So disappointing..was so excited to finally get it and use it! :(
-
Gah that sucks. Thanks for letting me know. The seller has a very good feedback rating on eBay, so hopefully he'll be reasonable and reimburse me some. I see you can buy straps on Amazon.
-
Are you my new best friend?? Haha.

I agree.

Someone had to bring this up. *Tips hat to Formicaman*

So true..Facebook is a lot of people talking only about themselves. MFP is a lot of people supporting and motivating each other - just a way more interactive environment. Goes to show that common goals bring people together!

I've been thinking of trying some of this out tonight - not only is it low-cal but it's all natural and sweetened with agave nectar (I don't have a problem with real sugar, but I often find drinks like this WAY too sweet for my taste). http://www.skinnygirlcocktails.com/

P90X Kenpo X is a great cardio workout - it's fun too :) As long as you have enough room to punch and do sidekicks you're good!

Nice I'm in!

I've actually always wondered the scientific reason that exercise lowers blood sugar, even for diabetics. I'm a biology nerd too, so thanks for sharing! Makes a lot more sense now :)
-
I just joined and am type 1 also - have been since I was 18 months old, so for me there has never been any other way of life (probably the easiest way to go if you have to be diabetic, haha). Feel free to add me!

I have the same issue. I usually eat a snack right before a workout and then keep a Gatorade or juice with me during. I find if I have some small sips of that during the workout, I can keep my sugar more level while taking in less calories than if I get a low after and get that desperate feeling to eat the first sugary…

Thanks for all the replies guys! On day 4 of using this and very impressed with all the support and encouragement I've already gotten on here :) I generally drink a ton of water anyway so that's no problem, my challenge is getting enough veggies in. I tend to wait till I'm super-hungry to eat, then I fill up on whatever I…
