^^^ me too but I do have to say it seems like with time it is beginning to get some of the elasticity back, was overweight alot of years so can't expect it to go away so fast, but HATE how it looks right now.
-
^^this sounds like me other than the running, don't do that just walk fast alot. I'm going into my 2nd year on my journey, but this was really written well, I like that :)

^^^^ same here. When I was younger and first tried cottage cheese I didn't like it but love it now with peaches, pineapples or any kind of fruit. I am going to try it with some of the things listed on these comments :)

I love the way you put it - What I lost, What I gained. You look awesome and very happy Congratulations. You also sound very mature for your young age that's a big plus too :)

^^^ this sounds like me, going to be 53 in September and need to lose about 10 more lbs (which is way harder to lose than the 80 I lost last year) and need some toning up BAD
-
^^^^ Thank you for sharing, I am going to try to get these books because I sure need some help!

I feel great at 52. I started eating better in 2012 and exercising, with the weight loss I gained some confidence but still quite modest. I am single and have been most of my life and I really enjoy it. I raised 2 daughters on my own and helped raise 3 grandchildren and had one for 4 years until she went back to live with…

Hello, 52 here, been using MFP regularly since January 2012, have just about reached my goal shy 5 lbs that I just can't seem to get off but have been maintaining weight for 3 months now. I love the support you get on MFP has really helped me tremendously.
-
that is just awesome and I KNOW a great feeling, Congrats!!!!
-
Welcome to MFP, you are on the right path and everything you are doing is exactly what I did in 2012 and lost 80 lbs so keep at it and you will get to your goal weight. I am 6 lbs shy of my goal and the last 10 lbs seems to be the hardest but I will do it in 2013. I honestly don't think I would have done what I have if not…

I don't necessarily exercise so I can eat more, but do love the extra calories I can have if I need it from exercising.
-
^^ agree with this and I do the same and it never hindered my weight loss, but everyone has to find out what works for them. Good luck but you do need to "treat" yourself :)
-
It took people awhile before they noticed or said anything about my weight loss too but when I started buying clothes that fit me better they really started commenting, don't worry it will come. You are doing awesome keep it up and believe me they will start commenting. Best wishes!
-
l^^^^ like and agree
-
that is an awesome NSV, I had a smaller towel (not my bigger towel) this morning and it wrapped all around me, we do notice and appreciate things like that. Enjoy your NSV's :)
-
wish the same could be said about me, I do have the saggy skin especially my inner thighs ugh!!!! I have lost the weight I want to now to maintain and start some major toning.
-
Done! this morning at 7:15 woohoo!!!
-
^^^ love the quote I am so glad I am in a learning state of mind. My best eating myth I've debunked on my journey so far is always feeling that carbohydrates was totally off limits (after trying the Atkins years ago) portion control!
-
^^^^^ agree I hear commercials telling us how hard after menopause it is to lose weight trying to sell some product. Not true at all and I am so thankful for that and glad WE are showing them it is NOT True.
-
^^ same here :( reading these makes me so sad, people are so cruel.

Welcome to MFP, it has been a tremendous help to me. Let's do this!!!
