  • I started using one for my power walks about a year ago and definitely saw positive results - it's great because you can tell the days you feel good and really don't feel well at all and it will help with your route planning as well. I recommend a Polar H7.
  • What a great achievement and an even better way to start off a new year. Keep it up!
  • I tried it for a couple of days and just couldn't do it. I had really poor performance during and felt miserable for most of the day (forget work) afterwards - I couldn't get my blood sugar stable. Also, couldn't regulate my core temp outside in the cold. I need at least 400 cals before I start.
  • Be careful with over stretching before you get on the elliptical. I damaged both my knee and hip doing something similar. The best thing you can do is start out very slow for 8-10 minutes (don't listen to music until you are warmed up.) If your knee is still bothering you after using the elliptical, you will need spend…

  • Keep it up man! You look great!
  • This is really cool! I'm visual too, do something similar but I save all of the pics of my scale progress on my phone as well as keep my friends fitness texts, funny posts and screenshots from FB/Instagram that I found encouraging. When I have a down day, I'll go through them to try and get the spirit back.
  • "If tomatoes are technically a fruit, is ketchup technically a smoothie?" I smoke and grill quite a lot so I count them on chicken, burgers, ribs. Even if it's a tablespoon or two on a piece of chicken, since it's mostly brown sugar it's important to get the macros logged for it. Same thing applies with ketchup too. Happy…
  • I started out walking 1 mile for a half hour on my lunch, and over 6 months that became 6 mile hikes. You will see results for sure based on the activity you put in. I had to ramp up my knees, hips, joints and lungs but over time you will crave more and longer distances. Just get out there, put your feet on the ground and…
  • I've got the S9-HD which I am using for my elliptical runs now. They do a pretty good job with sweat but I am having problems with the earbuds staying in my ear canal, otherwise they are not loud enough. It's nice not having cords bind up on my water bottle or the handles. Also, I wish they'd pair to both my Mac and my…
  • Love my 0 calorie sugar free vanilla syrup and a drop of half in half. Don't need to cut out all the stuff you enjoy :)

  • I have experienced this over the last 4 months.. sometimes I get light muscle cramps the night before, or I wake up earlier on mornings where I've lost some weight. I do the same ritual where I weigh myself on Friday mornings.. great way to kick off the weekend and remind you to eat healthy.
  • I have a Polar HR7 chest strap that has been very reliable and easy to use. I got mine from Wal-Mart online for about $70. I use it on the elliptical primarily, but sometimes use it if I go for a power walk at work. The software is great on iOS and you can sync it up to the cloud, if you switch between your iPhone and iPad…
  • I have an HR7 (chest band kind) and use it everyday, great tool for tracking your progress and your route. If you wear headphones, it will tell you your heart rate, pace and any records you set along your route. The free iPhone app is really good. You have to moisten the strap before you put it on.
  • I had a cupcake in honor of you :)
  • I had my first soy latte from Starbucks today. It was marvelous.
