Can You Feel Weight Loss?

This might sound like a silly statement, but when I know i've been eating clean and portioning my food correctly, I can feel my weight loss. For instance, at the end of my week, my internal voice tells me I've lost a pound or two a day or two before I weigh myself on Friday mornings. I have been more in sync with my body these past 6 months. I'll randomly feel disappointed around Thursday evening and if that is the case, I would have only lost less than a pound or stayed the same. It is mostly accurate. Does anyone else experience this?

I wish I was more in sync. I have had weeks where I honestly thought I had really rocked it and I would lose quite a bit and I would be the same as the week before or down by just ounces. Then I had a really bad week and I was fully expecting to gain and I lost 2.5 pounds.

I think it's really neat that you are so in tune with your body. : )

I have experienced this over the last 4 months.. sometimes I get light muscle cramps the night before, or I wake up earlier on mornings where I've lost some weight. I do the same ritual where I weigh myself on Friday mornings.. great way to kick off the weekend and remind you to eat healthy.

i feel more energised and healthier - though I never know what the scale will say as my cycle seems to have a bigger effect on that than my weightloss

i can almost guess my cm reductions on waist and hips now though

I've lost some cm on my body in the past five days. I measured myself this morning but didn't weigh in. Ive also had my inner voice kick in so hopefully I'll yield a good result in the morning. I've been feeling slimmer all day. Going to workout later tonight as well.

I've noticed my mood drops a bit & I feel a certain way the afternoon & night before a couple of pounds drop--it's like the body begrudges letting go or something. The next morning I feel just fine. Now I'm trying to maintain & even get a little muscle, but you know, the scale fluctuates.

Definately. When I get up, I can touch my sides/abs and know instantly if I lost weight from the day before. As one's BF% goes down, I'd think most people can feel slighter changes in their bodies. I have no scientific research to back that up, just my own experience and talking with other fitness folks.

My intuition was right. I lost 2.8 lbs in the past 7 days! Didn't predict that much but I knew it was at least 1.5lbs. Pay attention to your bodies, folks. It will tell you what you need to know.

That! Plus when you weigh in the at the end of the week you don't have any recreational sins from the weekend staring at you in the form off water weight!

Nah. I really can't. I feel the same at 237 that I felt at 294. I'm not even kidding. Maybe it's because it's taken me over two years to lose that much. But I literally feel the exact same.
