Now THAT is dedication. Way to go!!! Such an inspiration, and so TRUE!

First--congrats on your stats! Wow! My birthday party cake rule is: if the cake looks especially good (like you know it came from a good bakery, or it's homemade--not from a box) I'll have a piece. If it's lousy cake --like from the grocery store--I pass. The longer I travel this journey, the more discriminating my taste…

I also vote for pushing through it. I remember being incredibly sore (barely able to move) on days 2 and 3...and on day 4 all of the soreness completely went away. Ice and ibuprofen. I promise it will get better...push through it!

I responded to you on our friends wall, but just wanted to give you a big (((HUG))). I hope your little man is doing okay...I can't even imagine. It sounds like you need to cut yoursef a break from the rigid TF schedule--maybe you could shoot for 3 HIIT workouts a week for the next couple of weeks? Don't beat yourself…

My goal is also to follow my Turbo Fire schedule 6 days a week right through the holidays (which means a workout on Christmas Eve, which is a huge deal in my family, but I am committing to getting it in there). As for a weight goal--I would like to maintain at 178, and not go above. We host a Christmas night feast that is…

I also agree that you should go for it--3x a week should be good. Stick with Level 1 for a few weeks since you are new to strength training. Have fun and "don't phone it in"!

Looking good! Keep up the great work!
-
That's awesome! Btw, love your profile pic...hilarious pug action!
-
Interesting...never roasted green beans before, will have to try it. thanks!

Not only am I in the medical field (I'm an RN) but I've also had kidney stone surgery and ureteral stents twice. Ugh!! I so hope you are feeling better! Keeping you in my prayers!

This happens to me sporadically. I have no idea why. *Usually* a hard workout suppresses my appetite. Yesterday I did an especially hard workout and I was so hungry all night I was going nuts. Not cool. I feel your pain...hang in there!

Am I the only nighttime weigh-in here? I weigh in after my nightly workout (I always plan a hard one where I sweat a lot :), naked. Working so far!
-
Gotta love THAT!!! Woohooo!!

Hi Deb, Just checked this--have to go to work, then will check your diary tonight. I did glance at it quick--I am assuming you work a lot with little time to cook so you tend to eat a lot of processed/ready made foods?

Greetings! I just got in my Fire 30 and Sculpt 30. Boy, she is not kidding around with those deltoid lifts with the resistance bands, is she...I was seriously shaking at the end! So, a little "situation." According to the actual TF schedule, tomorrow is my DOR, and then Fire 30 and Tone 30 on Thursday. However, my DOR has…

You look awesome! WTG!

I just laughed out loud about the stash of "don't kill a child" chocolate... Anyhow, I'm with everyone above re: weight gain, chocolate cravings, mood swings...I absolutely hate it. I also vote for seriously hard workouts...I am 42 years old and that is the ONLY thing that has ever truly helped me. Good luck to you...

Hi everyone! I did Fire 55 today--definitely a fun workout! Probably my favorite of them all! Jacci--are you in healthcare too? I'm an RN--sometimes these crazy schedules can be challenging with establishing routines, huh? GOOD JOB on Fire 45 today!! Deb--please don't sweat the "gain"...my God, if I freaked out everytime…
-
You look absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing...and CONGRATS on all your hard work!
-
A seriously hard workout. Apples. I wouldn't touch a pharmacological appetite suppressant--too many side effects and not a long term option for learning how to manage hunger. Please be careful.

As a nurse, I'd recommend seeking a second opinion and visiting a nutritionist. Also, although your BP has improved somewhat, I sincerely hope your doctor has put you on blood pressure medication at least for now. Best of luck to you!

Deb--Great job jumping into TurboFire! It is normal to feel tired--it means you worked hard :) How are you liking your BodyMedia? I love mine so far. So, Jacci...what Christmas movies did you watch? I love Christmas too...so far my family has watched Christmas Vacation and Elf :) drbaskas: Good job on the cleanse. Can't…

Great post. I am glad you are in a better place now. I have seen it said this way before: It's hard being fat, miserable, out of shape, and unhealthy. It's also hard to commit to proper nutrition and working out. CHOOSE your "hard." Best of luck to you on your journey.

You are an inspiration! You look amazing!
-
ever checked out Chalene's Turbo Fire? It's a blast!
-
Second vote for HIIT workout. Google to learn more, there's tons of options. Good luck!

This made me smile. I am so happy for you. Congratulations!!

I was a card-carrying member of the scale addicts club. All it did was demotivate me and mess with my head. Can you ask a friend or family member to keep it a their house for once a week weight ins? As for the Shred....glad to hear you are taking measurements. I believe I lost 9.5 inches my first go-round...unbelievable.…
