Ah well, I guess it was too much to wish for...hate the darn chest strap on my FT7. Thanks for the input, though.

Of course everyone is different; these are just my opinions... Of all the exercise programs I've completed so far, Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred worked the best. Lost the most inches and felt super strong. I didn't love it while doing it (it's hard work!!) but it's only about 27 minutes a day. I completed Ripped in 30…

You look wonderful....congrats on your hard work! It definitely paid off! I just entered Phase 2 of JMBR and hope to have a similar story!

I did 16 weeks of Turbo Fire and loved it...however, did not see any weight loss (though I confess I mess up my eating fairly often & still have 30 lbs. left to go). Now doing Chalean Extreme and dropped 3 inches and 1 lb. in the past 4 weeks. Definitely feeling stronger. Turbo Fire is wayyyy more fun than Chalean Extreme,…

omg, I just laughed out loud at this...so true....d&mn cheez its!!

Wow, I am amazed and overwhelmed at all of these responses. I think I learned something or was encouraged by something in every single one of the messages. I wish I could respond to everyone individually. Thank you so much....you have helped more than you know. I will keep on keeping on, forgive myself, work on getting the…

Can I ask how much weight you have to lose? I found it not "that" difficult to lose my first 60 lbs....but these last 30 lbs. aren't budging. I'm focusing on strength training and measurements at this point.

I was like this for years. Only in the past year or so hAve I begun to feel free from the food-obsession tyranny. Food is fuel, right? No good foods/bad foods...all is good in moderation. I agree with you...it is wonderful to be free from the guilt!

you look great! what a beautiful smile too!

My husband says I come up with the worst animal names ever, so I should keep my mouth shut...I always liked the name Buddy, even though it's popular. Someone I know once had a og named Snickers which I thought was adorable!

You are an amazing person. You look so wonderful. Congrats!

I lost 9.5 inches in my first month of the shred. Good luck!

You might laugh at this, but when I'm in a funk for whatever reason and just don't "feel" like working out, I mock myself in a very whiny voice in front of my kids, saying stuff like "I'm TIRED, I don't feeeel like exercising" or "My right thumb hurts, I don't feeeel like working out" or whatever ridiculous thing comes to…

I totally understand....but sometimes you gotta suck it up and work out whether you "feel" like it or not. At the very least, go for a walk...you will feel SO much better for it. You can do this!!

I did not lose weight with the 30 DS....but I lost 9.25 inches and went down a pants size. Keep at it...hard work pays off!

While I don't have the injuries you have had, I too struggle with maintaining motivation. I have lot about 70 lbs and have 28 more to go, but I just can't stop eating crap at night. Send me a friend request, maybe we can kick each others' rear ends into shape! Thanks for sharing your story...know that you are NOT alone!…

I think you're amazing! Great job!

You look incredible! Congrats!

I am very interested in this workout--do you have the buy the book or is there a website with the exercises you could recommend?

RN-Hospice Lots of RNs here!

Sounds accurate to me too. Love my Polar FT4. Great job!

I also say whatever works for you, and whatever you will actually do. I'd like to be someone who wakes up at 5 a.m. to exercise (and God knows I've tried a million times) but it just WON'T happen. I am stiff and cranky in the morning. I usually work out around 5 in the evening--I burn more calories because my muscles are…

I have done 3 full circuits of 30 DS. What I can tell you is that you will, in fact, be very sore for at least a few days. Ice and ibuprofen will be your friends. For me, the soreness disappeared entirely by day 4. You really have to push through it and do not give yourself the option to quit. It CAN be done and you CAN do…

What an awesome post. I am going to print it out for my coworkers. Thanks for sharing!!

I have a Polar FT4 with a chest strap which I love. I think it cost $89 or thereabouts. I also have BodyMedia Fit Core Armband (similar to a BodyBugg) which cost $179--this provides info on calories burned, steps taken, and sleep. You probably don't need all that info.

MODIFY! Do it the best you can but just keep going!! All of us responding were once in your shoes--you CAN get through it and you WILL improve!
