Carbs ARE great, IF your body is able to handle them correctly/efficiently. But not everyone's body can (i.e. insulin resistance, diabetes, etc.) Some of us aren't so lucky =/ I have insulin resistance and have to really restrict carbs (yes, even complex carbs like veggies) on top of medication and exercise my butt off…

I've tried twice... first time my BP was too low and second time my iron was too low D: Lamesauce.

I'm just over 5' 6" tall, the before picture is me at about 215lbs (in my riding pants, probably not the most flattering look lol!), and the after is my current weight which is 140lbs. Hang in there! :) Before After (sorry it's a little blurry)

Hooray, another selling point term to confuse everyone. I would bet money they're almost just as bad for you as their old fries.

Two words: Diet Coke.

Yeah, really high BMR. Would definitely revise that.

Gosh, I wish I had an answer for you. I struggle with the same problem =(

I'm this way with counting my carbohydrates more so than calories. It annoys the heck out of those around me, and it probably is a bit too obsessive. But it comforts me somehow.

We've all been there, some days it's so frustrating and we feel like giving up. I'm so proud of you for beginning your journey again, keep fighting the good fight! I know you can do it! : )

Unbelievable... our 'great' nation's greed at it's finest =/

Good luck! I know you can do it!

First of all... Congratulations to everyone, on all the progress you've each made and all the progress you will make in the future!! =] As for me, I don't really have an ideal size. I'm at a size 10 now, at 5' 6" and 147lbs. My goal weight is 135-130... so I'm not totally sure what size that will make me... an 8 I…

All I can say... wow!! You look fantastic, such a huge difference. Keep up the great work!! ^_^

The taste in your mouth is probably from ketosis, just sayin'.

Wow! Thank you all so much for your great ideas, you've brought up so many things I had never even thought of! You all are so inspirational! =]

I've heard the 30 Day Shred is a great program, but let me reiterate, I literally can not afford to purchase ANYTHING right now. Like, literally, I have 13 cents in my savings account. And don't start my job until next month =C Good idea about the soup cans though!

800 calories is a bit low for the 'average' person. However, I say if you don't feel hungry and there are no ill effects, there's no reason to change it. As for things you hear about how it can damage your body, the straight truth is humans have stored fat for a purpose, so it can be used when energy is needed. Your body…

Believe me, I've been told that about a hundred times before. Thing is, once I start eating more than 800 per day I start gaining weight. Sucks, huh?

I am! And its so frustrating. I take Metformin 3x/day, which does help maintain my weight but the PCOS makes it so hard to lose. I eat <600 calories everyday, all low-carb, exercise, and my weight just won't budge =/ It really puts a damper on pretty much everything.

Great post. Thanks!! =)

I don't necessarily dislike being called by a pet name, but I always feel awkward calling someone else by anything beside their name XD

A girly white dress, without my upper arms flapping everywhere and my calves looking, well, not like tree trunks :D

Thank you, PCOS, for making me feel like less than a woman. For making me feel like I'm some freak of nature existing in-between genders. For making me have to starve myself simply to maintain a weight, much less lose weight. I'm sick of the excess body hair in embarrassing places, it's something no one, let alone a child…

Yes I do! And it's weird, too because I'm still borderline-overweight according to my BMI. A lot of people comment on my weight loss, but when I tell them I still want to lose another 20 pounds they say I would be way too skinny, when really that's what is considered a normal weight for my height. I think part of it is…

This sounds almost exactly like what happened to me. I was stuck at 185 FOREVER, despite exercise and what I thought was a healthy diet. What I did was cut back on sugar A LOT. As soon as I started eating less than 35g of carbohydrates every day, my weight started to melt off. It takes effort and involves a lot of…

I cant wait for my gross stomach roll to go away!! I know some of it is loose skin from my weight loss, but it's so depressing to look in the mirror and see my stomach just sagging. It just clings onto me like a parasite >_< ick! Can't wait to get rid of it!
