Anyone know about the new supposedly healthier burger king fries? I hear they're deep steamed, what does that mean and how does it affect the calories?

i've never heard of it, but it would probably be healthier because they're not being deep-fried in oil...
  • I would rather keep the fat and toss out the potatoes.

70+ grams of carbs in a single serving of anything? No thanks.

All I could find was a picture of soggy fries. I'm thinking it may be more myth?

I can't find ANY thing on "Deep steam cooking" there's tons on deep steam cleaning. I know I cook lots of items I previously boiled by steaming, it takes 1L to steam a pot of potatoes as opposed to 6 or 7L to boil the same amount. Being on bottled water means you look for ways to decrease the expense ;)
  • Hooray, another selling point term to confuse everyone. I would bet money they're almost just as bad for you as their old fries.

Let me rephrase. I fail to see what 70+ grams of STARCH is good for.
