My planning is usually for meals out. To reach my calories on a normal day I eat quite a few snacks. On days when I am having a meal out I usually only have a mid morning snack and lighter than normal. If I know there is potential for it to be avery high calorie meal ie. a full 3 courses for example of a birthday party.…

I eat between 1900 and 2400 calories a day depending on how much exercise I've done. It's been working great for me. I eat pretty healthy most of the time though I did go out for pizza last night all within my calorie allowance for the day. Today I'm having tofu and stir fried vegetables though so just go with a balanced…

Congratulations your hard work has paid off.

Wow well done!

I went out and did a 7 mile walk (which was pretty hilly) even though it was very windy. It means I can eat something nice when I go out with friends tonight without worry too much that it will be over my calories.

I think people use gain again because they are happy with the way they now look. They no longer have a goal and often have been depriving themselves to get to that goal and don't realise that you have to change for life to stay at goal. I have lost weight and gained it back before. What I'm doing differently this time is…

Nothing wrong with weighing yourself everyday as long as it doesn't drive you crazy and you accept it fluctuates. I only put my weight into MFP once a week though and always the same time, same day.

A lot of people don't comment because they are not sure how to. I've lost 35lb's. It is very noticeable but I've just spent the weekend with my mother in law, brother in law and sister in law and none of them have said a word and they don't see me very often. They are quite reserved so I just put it down to that. I don't…

I don't do cheat days either however I do have what's called a social life and I do eat a couple of hundred calories less for a few days prior to a meal out with friends or a night out so I can be less concerned with what I eat on the day. I don't think it's healthy to think right I can have up to 3000 calories today or…

Well done. Inspirational!

Brilliant work. You look great!

It's great that it will make me healthier etc. etc. but really I want clothes shopping to be easier. To be able to buy clothes that actually reflect my tastes and not just the only ones I could find that fit!
-
I think it depends on the size you are to begin with. I think you should notice within about 4 weeks some changes. I've been going for 90 days and I would say it has been really noticeable to me in the past month.
-
Great job and can I just say you are very photogenic! You look beautiful.

I lost 9lb's in my first week but think that was mainly water weight as i had just come back from holiday at an all inclusive resort in Mexico. One warning my second week and most subsequent weeks I've lost between 1 and 2 lb's. It took years to put on the weight and it will take time to lose it as well. I agree with those…

I'm proud that I've been going for almost 90 days and I am just as motivated now as I was then. I've lost over 10% of my body weight and am well on my way to 20%. I'm more active all day. I am enjoying my food more and cooking interesting recipes. I managed to do my 50 mile April challenge by the 15th (I'm now 8.5 miles…

Inspiring story! Well done and I reckon you'll achieve your other goals as well.

I bet those who are running will be a bit nervous now. My husband ran the Paris Marathon just last week and I was stood waiting for him in a similar position to where the explosions occurred in Boston so I've found it quite shocking. The people running those times have worked so hard and sacrificed so much and are usually…

Well done.

Well done. An inspirational story and proof that it's never too late to turn your life around.

I had exactly the same wake up call as you. I decided there was no way I was ever going to have to ask for that extension and the day after my holiday started my new healthier life. Last week I flow to Paris and having just lost 30lb's I was so much more comfortable in my seat and when I tightened my seatbelt there was…

Tesco still stock it but it seems Asda have stopped stocking it. I'm not sure why. Those are the 2 supermarkets near me so not sure about any others.

Rather than worrying about the exact day maybe think of it as 24 hours so if you are exercising late have a bigger breakfast and lunch the next day instead. I used the fat 2 fit calculator to work out my calories which is a bit less exact than the whole TDEE is but I know I can have about 300 more calories on a day when I…

Looks like it. Not willing to pay that much for it though as it looks like they don't actually do any testing of your exercise like they do in the documentary.

Just watched the whole thing and to me the science is a bit faulty as he made 2 changes to his life at the same time which makes it impossible to confirm what caused the health benefits. I personally think to get true answers he should have had 4 weeks of only doing the HIT training, 4 weeks of only up his NEAT activity…

I caught the end of the programme and found it very interesting. As you've posted the link I will watch the whole thing.

I think for the start of a journey it is better to see the progress you are making.

Look at the success stories on this forum. You then see the benefit of sticking with it.

Hi All Thanks for responding I post another topic about how I was going to Paris for 4 days with my husband who is running the marathon. I'm vegetarian and Paris is not renowned for being a great place for vegetarians so in most places I'll pretty much have to eat the only thing on the menu that is vegetarian. There will…

Love that mentality. Have to say I have broken my weight loss down into lots of mini goals because it is nice to feel you've achieved something regularly to keep you motivated. Totally agree about the walking as well.
