I was losing weight very slowly and miserably eating 1400 calories a day. I upped it to between 1900 and 2400 calories and since then I've been losing weight more quickly and much more happily and motivated.

My husband lost 65 lb's and his main exercise is running. Of course he looked at his diet as well but he is very sedentary other than his running. He works from home so doesn't even need to leave the house each day.

I started on 1400 calories and within 3 weeks hit a plateau. I upped to 1900-2400 (depending on activity level) and since then have lost at least 1 lb a week. I haven't done any photo's yet but I will tell you I feel so much more satisfied and motivated. As a previous yo-yo dieter/binger I would highly recommend it.

I did the first day of the 30 Day Shred. I hated it but I did it with only a few rest breaks. Not sure it is my type of exercise but I'm going to get through it and see how I feel in a few weeks.

Snack on brazil nuts. at nearly 100 calories for 3 nuts you should have no problem reaching your daily calories. If you want to go wild have chocolate brazil nuts.

I jumped straight from 1400 to 1900 and lost the very first week. Reading around I seem to be a bit of an exception though.

I'd suggest go for a walk or do something to buy you a couple of hundred more calories and then just go and enjoy whatever you'd most like from the menu and have a healthy day the day after to make up for it. Sometimes you can buy bundles of clothes on ebay which are useful for an interim weight. I'm kind of surprised nobody has set up a group on here to do this.

I beat my April target (by just over an lb) and have now lost 2 and a half stone since mid January.

I'd just go with slightly bigger portions that way you are still eating healthily just a little more.
