  • Do you mean you don't use "workout" feature on the watch? That is what I meant by manually. Also even if I do a "workout" it doesn't always record in MFP.
  • And then this happened? I am losing calories from steps and twice??
  • Yes I have only had the watch about 4 days and on MFP I log my weight weekly. Sedentary gives me 1300 and lightly gives me 1520 calories - My BMR on MFP is 1,444 but most other places 1511-1518.
  • I thought I had negative adjustments on but the option is now gone completely! ?
  • First off thank you!! I sent a friend request as I may need some help along the way  Ok so if I set my MFP to sedentary it has me at 1300 and lightly active is 1520 - My BMR is around 1511. Do I need to log more exercise? With my fitbit I didn't really log anything -- I just walked..lol. Today I did go for a 20 min…
  • Thanks :) Because my fitbit One is out of warranty they just tell me it is defective and offer up a new one. They aren't interested in telling me why or how or even how long this has been an issue. It seems as though it has been the pattern for awhile but they just aren't interested. I even posted on their facebook page…
  • Thanks!! I am not sure I ever figured out stew before but the whole pot is under 2000 calories so not too bad!! I will weigh it once it's done and then enter that weight with a calorie count of 1,985 to give me the per gram amount. A little more work but totally worth it. Thank you so much!! :)
  • THANK YOU!!! I was looking under the diet profile part!
  • I have done this in the past as well but it becomes a pain with my crockpot because of it being so heavy my scale bogs out from almost it's weight alone. Might have to transfer pots or something for more accuracy! EDIT to add -- I wonder if I can still fix this. If I add up everything that is in there now and get a calorie…
  • I am walking 10,000-12,000 steps per day every day. Without my fitbit I am not sure how to test it that is why I was more wondering how MFP calculates the activity level. I think we use to be able to adjust the goals number manually but I no longer see that option.
  • It's funny how we can't see what others see. When I lost weight last time I remember taking a picture of my progress and at that time I felt so far away from my goal - I was 10-15lbs away but it felt like I had so far to go and I was unhappy with how I looked BUT looking back at that same picture now I realize how wrong I…
  • OMG what an incredible story! Glad you are ok. I do agree though about fitbit. Rather then troubleshoot with me and explain why such a wide range with my calories burned/steps they were quick to say it's out of warranty buy a new one. I truly just want to understand how I can walk 8000 steps and burn more than I do when I…
  • I am in the process of retiring my defective fitbit and have thought of getting an apple watch but never even dreamed it would connect to MFP or be a part of this world..lol. So now I am wondering how much if differs from fitbit. I am a walker so steps and calories burned is what I am after. I would be sad to see the…
  • I would have been happy at the 2 year mark for sure but my 2nd one was replaced at 2 months and I am currently using that replacement now and is the one I noticed is off but I am not sure when it started to mess up could have been within the warranty period. I only noticed it now which is just 4 months past the warranty…
  • Thanks so much for all your help!!
  • Yes that is what I was saying that fitbit gave me a burn of 2200 for the day not just walking - it's accumulative based on bmr and activity and whatever else it throws in there. With such discrepancies from day to day with fitbit even though I may walk the exact same steps/miles my burn is off so I want to elminate the…
  • Thanks I think I will try 1700 for a bit and see how I do
  • I have lost a little this time around and I track everything I eat. My intake isn't the issue it's now getting away from fitbit and figuring out on my own what I burn. Since it's walking I do most I am not sure how to figure out what 10,000 steps or 12,000 steps actually burns or a rough estimate since fitbit is so off day…
  • My fitbit use to be pretty dead on step wise and I am not sure if that was because I had it clipped on me or not but it was one reason I have been hesitant to switch/upgrade. I had the Fitbit charge and charge HR for couple days each but my one just seemed to be more accurate step wise. Now, with my One I can walk 5000…
  • Just the first one lasted that long. 2nd one last 2 months and the replacement went 1 year about 4 months as I am not exactly sure when the issues started, I only know when I noticed it. Could have very well been within the warranty or not. They would be smart to offer extended warranty!! I do love my fitbit one but it's…
  • I wish I had that kind of luck! I had my first one 2 years then it had battery issues. It was out of warranty so I bought a new one within 2 months it was no good so they replaced it and that one has been giving me issues for who knows how long it is out of warranty by about 4 months. I need something that is going to last…
  • Thanks however I would rather not give them anymore money  they have enough after 4 years plus I like the clip ones better. I am not really a bracelet wearer and the one tucked nicely into my bra!
  • You can add me as well  my babies are 6 (On Saturday!!) and 10 but I remember very well wanting to lose the weight after the first before the 2nd very well!
  • I thought the same and that is why I wanted to love the HR because I figured based on the HR is would be more accurate. I assumed that steps didn't matter -- only calorie burn but as I bolded from a previous response that does not appear to be the case. I can look back for about 16 weeks and see that my burn has never been…
  • I am over it! I gave it to my husband last night and if it isn't his thing (he wants to track sleep) it's going back! Just want to clarify 1 thing though -- I read in another post (glassyo's actually) where it was discovered the One was not very accurate -- would you say based on the info I provided the One is as accurate…
  • I think I officially give up -- if the One is the more accurate then why stress over the HR Today mess  HR One
  • They just said set stride length, running stride and reset it afterwards. Wondering if the equation you gave me for stride works? 2ft 4.1 inches if I plug that in my HR.
  • Appreciate it so very much -- thank you again for taking the time to help me.
  • So take back the HR and stick with the One then?!
  • HR - 17,423 start - finish 17,575 -152 steps 2nd time around -17575 start -17752 finish -177 steps One - 19,892 start - 20,091 finish - 199 steps 2nd time around 20,091 start 20,292 finish - 201 steps
