Nice work to everyone who is sticking with their routines with small/minor aches and being tired. You guys are great! Saturday I got a lifting workout in. First of Stage 4! I took Sunday off but did a lot of cleaning/yardwork so that will be my exercise for that day! Tonight I'm planning on doing my first "B" workout of…

ethie, that is annoying! I used to get pushed around a little bit but I think since I've stuck it out there is some sort of unspoken respect. I'll take that. Plus my husband comes to the gym with me so that probably helps. manic, that sucks! I hope you can rest up and feel better quickly. sam, was the offer he had good?

Beeps be kind to your arm! :) Rest, ice, and ibuprofen if needed! Hopefully it's something that you can just "baby" and it will go away.

feelgoodnic, that was how Stage 3 was for me... a few injuries, time constraints, and other things clogging up my workout time! It was terrible! I just finished it on Wednesday after wayyy too long. I also get antsy on days I miss a workout. I don't think it's because "OMG everything will be for nothing if I skip!" but…

Thanks for sharing! You look amazing already! You can definitely see the changes.

I generally do cardio on my "off" days. I usually run since I still want to do a half this year, I've just put training on the back burner until the middle of next month. I finished Stage 3 last night... FINALLY. Man, I've only been working on getting that done forever between injuries, and races, etc. I'm excited for…

Emgel, I've always wanted to do a mud run. There's one near me in June so I'm thinking about doing it. It's only 4 miles so it shouldn't be that bad. Yesterday was CRAZY stressful so I didn't lift. I didn't have the energy or focus to and I wanted to finish out Stage 3 on a positive note... and not be positively STRUGGLING…

Manic that's so awesome! :) I've been taking full advantage of Sundays being a rest day. It feels weird but I think my body has been thankful. Tonight will be my last workout of Stage 3! Only took me forfreakingever to get to this point.
-
Beeps I've always toyed with the idea but you are right. I don't really get the point. Also, I think that's a TERRIBLE present. You need to prep for that! That certainly is not spur of the moment. I'd probably freak out if people were all "SURPRISE WE ARE DOING BPICS!" Screw that noise.

Celtic, I always think the same thing when it comes to smoothies. It's weird how differently my brain processes being full from actually chewing vs. drinking. QOTD: I am doing NOTHING. I'm a terrible daughter. I sent my mother a card and I'm sure we will go out for lunch or something at some point. My mom ended up being…

I haven't experimented much but here is my go-to: Green Smoothie 1 serving Vanilla protein powder 1 cup almond milk 1/2+ cup of fresh or frozen spinach 1/2 chopped banana (I pre-chop and freeze mine) 2 tbsp PB (I might switch to PB2...maybe)

Awesome job!

No workout yesterday but I was expecting that. Today is a lifting day... woo! I believe on Monday I will just be rounding out Stage 3 finally. rsharper, I'm glad you are liking it so far!

BTW, Hi Celtic and welcome :)

Yep. I thought I "knew" the basics. But alas, I did not. I don't know. I'm going to stick with it and finish it and continue my running schedule. Between this and cleaning up my eating a bit I now have abs, and I definitely have muscle definition. I'm already accomplishing the goals I wanted so why not stick with it? I…

Hey guys! I can barely keep up. Cowgirl, I bet they were in awe and jealous :) Anywho I couldn't get to the gym yesterday so I went for a run. Tonight will most likely be an off day (not on purpose) but I think it will be good to rest and recharge and start eating better... and by better I mean eating enough. The last…

Sam, I'm glad your workout paid off! I always try and remember that working out in crappy days always helps. Sue, that's an AWESOME NSV! Nothing much new here. I lifted yesterday and I will be starting my final A/B workouts for Stage 3. FINALLY. It has taken me forever to get back on track with lifting. I'm hoping to get a…

I have to agree that I love NR because how easy to follow it is. I also like going in with a set plan to follow. Leaves me less time of just figuring it out and more time plowing through the exercises. Today is a lifting day! I thought I wasn't going to be able to find time to get to the gym but my schedule cleared out :)…

Em, congrats on the good eats! It can be tough. I work out after work and before dinner so I too notice that there's less time to snack. I like to have a mini snack before the gym and then I drink almond milk or have another mini snack while I'm cooking dinner. If I worked out in the morning I'd be eating ALL DAY. Rest…

Hello hello :) I think walking in heels the other day left my legs a bit sore which is pretty sad to say. No matter, I still was able to get in a solid 4 mile run last night which felt great seeing as I was reeeeaaally considering just mellowing out on the couch. I'm glad I didn't. Today or tomorrow will be a lifting night…

Minor changes at the completion of Stage 1. Then, the changes keep happening but gradually. I've been told I look more toned and I can tell my stomach has changed quite a bit since starting. Best of luck!
-
QOTD: I did once and then another time to get it back to natural. I would love some extra blonde highlights but I'm too afraid to dye my hair now for some reason.
-
I love this exercise. I was pretty wobbly at first but it's impressive when you get it down with the amount of control/balance/strength you develop from doing it. Keep it up!
-
I will have to ditto the running. I had a terrible time getting in my training runs for my last 10K and I ended up doing WAY better than expected even with a bad cramp that set my time back. I've also found longer runs to be a bit easier.
-
Beeps.... Holy hell woman, you have a rockin' bod! That is SO motivational. You are awesome! Em... That's annoying about the injury, hopefully it heals quickly! Also congrats on the PR! I know I'm missing a lot, I don't think I posted yesterday so I feel behind! I was going to run Tuesday but that ended up being a rest day…

Hmmm I could totally get behind those get-ups. I might have to try some next lifting day.
-
I love the Turkey Chili. I should try the Jumbalaya. My husband doesn't like fish so I don't cook fish :(
-
Cowgirl, great results! It's SO nice seeing improvement each month :) Congrats! Emgel, that sounds like a fun weekend! I try not to beat myself up over going over cals every once and awhile. I figure, I work out regularly and eat healthy as well so I don't see it completely stalling my progress... unless it turns into a…

Eve, hopefully you hear what you want to hear at the consultation. Good luck! Morning. I've been sticking with my running and lifting routine so far. Food-wise I have been pretty good as well, minus a few small treats but I'm not sweating over that. Tonight I'm hoping to lift. Hopefully I don't get super sweaty because I…

Chubby - That's crazy! I would have had a heart attack if I saw my child (theoretical) doing that. Eve - I have heard similar things about coconut oil. It's really popular especially with those following the paleo diet. I've considered buying it each week I pass by it at Trader Joes but I never do. One of these days I…
