cottage cheese, fruit, tomato and cucumber with balsalmic glaze, nabisco 100 oreo thins, string cheese, toast with cream cheese, yogurt. I try to keep my snack calories under 150...On a 1250 cal per day intake...before exercise.

Nope not bothered. While McDonalds carries an unhealthy no no lifestyle connotation it is not about where you eat...but about the choices that you make. Part of my problem with losing weight is I like to go out with my friends and coworkers. I dont want to have to say no. I just know that I can look up and have a chicken…

could it possibly be that going out to eat is a treat and the kids are allowed to have the 'fun' foods? Unless they are your kids...dont make judgement calls on what they are or are not eating. You see a picture or a family sitting down at the resteraunt and make your assumptions. You know what happens when you…

because sometime i just want that 250 calorie full size totally bad for me ice cream...but since calories are all a part of this...I opt for the 99 calorie half a bite of ice cream thingy mabobber just to get the flavor fix

I not totally sure what humans ARE and are not designed to do. Last time I checked (about 6 months ago when my grandson was born) humans ...or any other being did NOT come with an instruction manual. And just because the experts and so called experts tell us what we should and shouldnt do ...and are and are not designed to…

I have always heard 8 - 8 oz glasses of water a day. Now I hear you should drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day...so for me that is currently 108 oz a day ...or 13 cups. I found this posted by the Mayo Clinic as well : Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For…

My thoughts exactly....you have always been worthy and look beautiful. Congrats on your success

My advice...take a deep breath...know where the 'mistake' was...and get yourself back on track. Dont fast or starve yourself. If you want to up your excerise to cut back on the overage...do so..but not to the detrmite of your physical or mental health. I would just enjoy the rest of the day ..and tommorrow...get right back…
-
not necessarily....I have my free days ...generally sunday..that I refuse to track..and if I know Im ging to throw caution to the wind...like camping next weekend...NO...I will not track it ...I know i need to get back on track..but I refuse to be a slave to my diet, my body, or a counting system. If I know Im going to…

Totally agree with this. You cannot go into a fit of rage or tell either of them how to live their lives. Instead of protecting your sister...you are pushing her away...and possibly causing more issues that she will not feel comfortable or safe talking to you about.

Everything in moderation. Sometimes giving in to the craving..even just a little bit is enough to keep you going. Good luck

I have 4 children with my ex. I kept his last name as it was easier on all of us. However, when I remarried I took my Husbands name. It is the right thing to do. I think it depends on the situation. Some change their name because they want nothing to do with the person they were married. Ugly divorces and all that. Others…

I am 40 and I have battled with weight loss/gain the last 10 years. However, I have never lost any in my chest area. In fact...I gained a couple cup sizes...without surgery
-
Most definately this. It is no ones business if and what kind of phone your child has. Sounds more like someone was jealous a kid had a better phone than they did.

OMG I thought this comment was hilarious and oh so true. I think the point here was that if you really want something or are craving something...you dont have to deny yourself all the time. Work for it.. Of course there are days that I really want something...and its over my calorie 'allowances' and sometimes you just…

I dont feel guilty about allowing myself any of my food pleasures. All in moderation. And if I do go overboard...I make up for it with workouts...orrrrr just get right back on the program the next day. I refuse to live my life thinking I CANT have something. That will just make me crave it more and the binge that more…

Empowering yourself to say no is just another step on the journey to a healthier lifestyle. Be polite...be gracious...but be true to yourself. Remember this is for you and your health and happiness. If someone is offended because you say no..that is their issue not yours. Also remember you dont always have to say no. Take…

I purchased my copy of the 30 Day Shred on Saturday. I am starting it tonight and aiming to do it 6 days per week. I watched Level 1 and it appears to be pretty basic... (if i was in the shape I was 20 yrs ago...lol) I know its gonna be tough and no joke....but I want this more than anything. Sooooo tonight I have a date…

If I lose the whole 2 lbs that week...Im even happier. I want to be healhy and happy...not at my goal and…
